"Obama's momentum benefits from his rival 'making the case against himself,' a strategist says.

The Associated Press

DES MOINES, Iowa - In a presidential race seemingly frozen in place for months, the advantage has shifted toward President Obama after a series of miscues by Mitt Romney, punctuated by the Republican challenger's comments about people who pay no income tax.

I think NH is a done deal, but we have a lawsuit in progress that could save Obama's bacon.

Our legislature (correctly and sensibly) passed a law requiring college students to be domiciled in NH in order to vote here. This eliminates their ability to vote twice (once absentee at home and once in NH), since (in theory) adopting an NH domicile should eliminate their voter registration at home.

Anyway, there are probably 25 000+ Obama voters from 2008 who would not be allowed to vote in 2012 under the new law, so that is in front of a Federal judge right now. If he rules for the students, that may be enough votes to beat Romney.

“That 8% unemployment rate is a symptom of a USA increasingly without jobs.”

This is very troubling. The last numbers showed a decrease in unemployment while 300K + have dropped out of the unemployment calculation. IMO if this keeps up zero will have his bogus unemployment numbers below 8.0%.

Don’t pay any attention to polls until the wek of 22 Oct. Until it gets closer to the election there will be never-ending attempts to demoralize the Right (aptly named).

In trade is the easiest thing to manipulate .
It’s cheap and Soros & pals could be playing it as part of the
Dismay the GOP vote strategy going on now that early voting began .
It’s a scam too .

Page one headline in Sunday's Pittsburgh Tribune-Review:

It's Close; obama 47% Romney 45% IN PENNSYLVANIA.

There haven't been any Romney ads in PA and this poll has it a 2 point gap.

If this is close to accurate and I think it's really close, we are kicking his half black, half white, all red, mooselimb, left hand wiped, communist ass.

That is funny... WTF is obama’s campaign chair telling demonrats that they “DO NOT NEED TO PAY ATTENTION TO THE POLLS”? Was on top of Drudge but now "obama to release 1/3 of all GITMO terrorists" has replaced the story. Because even with ALL of the 2008 voter turnout bias built into them and the "special sauce" each mixes in with the beef... the two most trusted polls have the race a dead heat.

Can you believe the polls and this story? Only if you are a cretin or coward. Otherwise work hard and vote early and often and pay no attention to those that are paid huge sums of money to lie to you.

“Why is it every time there is “bad” news for Romney or polls showing him down in the race ... it is always criticized as “bias” or unbelievable?”

Gallup 0 47% R 47%
Rasmussen 0 46% R 46%

That is why.

They are not counted OR announced. What is announced is the party affiliation of those REQUESTING the ballots. I think we can safely assume that this time around NO Republicans will be voting for Zero, while we should also assume that at least SOME Dems will be voting for Romney.

So . . . in a place like OH, if you have significant numbers of REPUBLICANS asking for absentee ballots over Dems, you're in pretty good shape.

These were exactly the kinds of warning signs some of us ignored in 08 when the Dems massively outperformed in early/absentee ballots!

Jim, if this were 08, absolutely this would be the case. But I'm not sure this time around. I'm at a university all week, and do not see (nor have I seen for three years) ANY widespread support for Zero.

I'm sure da "yuts" will go for him in a majority, but the same majority as 08? No. Same numbers as 08? Definitely not.

Yup. But if they show him ahead they are hailed as the fountain of truth. Libs play the same game.

“There seems to be WAAAAAAY to much “whistling past the graveyard” here and FR.”

Good way to put it.

Same reason people take astrology seriously: it’s right some of the time, through no fault of its own:)
