Mitt Romney insisted his campaign is not in need of a "turnaround" in spite of polls showing President Barack Obama expanding his lead in battleground states.
In an interview with CBS's "60 Minutes," the Republican presidential nominee rejected criticism from conservative pundits who have called his campaign incompetent.
"It doesn't need a turnaround," Romney insisted, pointing to national polls that have him "tied" with Obama. "I've got a very effective campaign. It's doing a very good job."

He could use an honest media.
The mediots are giving it their all to get Romney to panic and waste campaign resources making staff changes.
Romney’s campaign is fine, meanwhile, Obama thinks the deaths of four Americans is just a little bump in the road. Now imagine if Romney had said that..Tell me what kind of human being shows such disdain for American heroes
Yep, it needs to turn around 360 degrees!
So could we all.
Romney says his campaign doesnt need a turnaround this economy is what needs a turnaround.
The media needs a turnaround!
The problem is that Mitt isn’t winning any votes, he doesn’t win any votes as a candidate, nor as a campaigner.
All Mitt can do, is hope that there are enough people who dislike Obama enough to choose, “the other guy”.
Even here at FR, Mitt’s top defenders only have arguments unrelated to Mitt himself, the arguments of “he isn’t Muslim”, and “he isn’t Obama”.
I hope that he doesn’t cost us the Senate, and damage us throughout the down ticket and in local elections.
Yeah, it turns out that the Bishop is as unattractive to the voters in the general election as he was to conservative voters during the primaries. Well, Homer, D’uh!
Translation: I have unbiased polling, and I’m winning. Thanks for not letting my supporters get complacent.
I can’t watch the campaign on TV so I don’t have a good feel for what the general public is seeing, but my impression is that the Romney question, is a question of, can republicans keep Romney from driving the people who want to be anti-Obama, back into Obama’s arms, or from frustrating them so much that many of them skip voting.
Yea Great.
GREAT!
that’s great.
Gingrich: Do to Obama what you did to me in Florida.
“can republicans keep Romney from driving the people who want to be anti-Obama, back into Obamas arms, or from frustrating them so much that many of them skip voting.”
I will not vote for obamacare nor will I vote for the author of it.
Translation: I have unbiased polling, and Im winning. Thanks for not letting my supporters get complacent.
This. Romney appears very confident. I hope he is right.
This Romney supporter isn’t going to even try to convince you doom and gloomers to vote for Romney.
I am happy that Romney, a businessman, understands that tax rates MUST be lowered and has stated such. I am happy that Romney has stated he WILL repeal Obamacare. I am happy that Romney has called Israel a friend. I am happy that Romney understand that our Ambassador was slaughtered in a terrorist attack, not over something concerning a youtube trailer that nobody had seen.
That’s for starters. I get absolutely disgusted when I read posts here on this “conservative” website by those who continue to do everything within their power to re-elect Obama. If, by this point, you don’t understand the damage Obama has already done and KNOW that Romney is not going to continue the damage, well, God help you.
I will continue to have Romney and Ryan’s back. There’s a new poll in my Pennsylvania that isn’t double digits for Obama. Today, I talked to 4 people who did not vote for McCain in 2008. They are all committed to now voting for Romney. It’s a very small start, but at least I’m not just hoping that a marxist wins another term and telling others that they can’t possibly vote for Romney because he’s not Ronald Reagan.
Carry on. Along with many others, I have their backs.
It seems that you need to reread post 10 again, you missed what it was saying.
He has a very good ground organization in place that is going to help us win on the other levels as well.
