On Monday's taping of ABC's "The View," President Obama said he was just "eye candy" after Barbara Walters kidded Michelle Obama about bringing him as her "date," Reuters reported.
"I've been told I'm just eye candy here," he said.
The program is set to air on Tuesday, Reuters added, noting that it "marks the first time the Obamas have appeared together on the one-hour show, which features four female hosts, including Hollywood icon Whoopi Goldberg, and is popular with middle-income women voters."
A post at Twitchy called his statement "false" and "sexist," and observed that conservatives on Twitter expressed their disgust.
"Hint... anyone is eye-candy sitting next to Joy (Behar) and Whoopi," tweeted one person.
"Full of c**p, or full of himself?" another asked.

I am still distracted by a picture that Fox News showed of them on the view last night that you could have driven a semi-truck thru the seperation of Obama and Michelle on the couch. Body language was unmistakable, they were not a “happy couple”.
Obama saying this on "The View" is both funny and coy. Although, it would have been hilarious if Biden had said it!

The video clip they showed on Fox of the Worst Couple and Baba Wawa made me wonder why Michelle wore a green dress to sit on the green couch. She appeared to be in camouflage.
