Rasmussen Reports ^ | 9/26/12 | Rasmussen

Wednesday, September 26, 2012

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows both President Obama and Mitt Romney attracting support from 46% of voters nationwide. Three percent (3%) prefer some other candidate, and five percent (5%) are undecided. See daily tracking history.

When “leaners” are included, it’s Romney 48% and Obama 46%. Leaners are those who are initially uncommitted to the two leading candidates but lean towards one of them when asked a follow-up question. Beginning October 1, Rasmussen Reports will be basing its daily updates solely upon the results including leaners.

0’s approval index is dropping, at -17 now, “back to normal”.

He was up to -9 there for a while.

The trend is our friend.

Perhaps, however I just can't believe that many people despise our way of life that much to where they want that tyrant pig reelected!

The media is trying extremely hard to depress Repub voters (see today’s NYT/CBS poll, yesterday’s WaPost poll - with record breaking Dem tournout models)... but they may in fact be making Dems overconfident, where they just stay home thinking Obama won. It would be the funniest backfire.

I want our side to shove these numbers in front of the MSM liars.

The desperation is so blatant (Quinnipiac) that it should be publicly ridiculed as a joke.

To the extent that these people can possibly be shamed, shame them. Doing something of this nature by our surrogates will help intensity and fundraising on our side.

“He who will be left unnamed” should be able to beat the wookie husband in a landslide!

I’ll take an eked out victory. Personally, I don’t see a landslide. But I’d love to be outrageously and laughably wrong and for you to be wildly right!

I’m not worried about Conservative and Republican voters, I’m worried about the independent vote being depressed. That is who Barry and his minions want to keep home. If the independents show up, it’s all over. There’s not a poll that I’m aware of showing indies going for Barry.

If they aren’t shamed by the poll that shows that 8% of the population views them as trustworthy, they won’t be shamed by anything.

These numbers are really good. If Romney is leading 48-46 with leaners, he will win the election IMO. Obama’s ceiling seems to be around 46-47 percent, which is dangerous territory for an incumbent.

Swing state polls show 47-47 with leaners. Great news for Romney. But I think it really comes down to Ohio, Virginia and Florida.

If RR can get to 52% the electoral college has to fall in line. This will be RR at plus 300 EV and north of 51%....hoping O gets 47% exactly. :)

Per their methodology page: “Calls are placed to randomly-selected phone numbers through a process that insures appropriate geographic representation.”

What is “appropriate representation?” Wish they would define that term.

I find this interesting on their website: http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/archive/mood_of_america_archive/partisan_trends/summary_of_party_affiliation

Summary of Party Affiliation

Jun. 35.4% 34.0% 30.5% 1.4%

See Romney winning in electoral college. This is the reason why the MSM is fighting so hard. Right now Obama is losing and won’t be re-elected. http://www.redstate.com/jamesm/2012/09/24/barack-obamas-is-fighting-against-mitt-romney-and-the-electoral-college-and-losing/

About two weeks before the election..all these faux polls will have to start giving accurate results..otherwise they lose their credibility after the election..so, will they then have to say that “Mitt is Surging”

The only problem with your link is that the page it refers to supports itself with a link to the “270 to win” website. The “270 to win” website, using polls with vastly oversampled democrats is currently showing BO with 272 electoral votes and Romney with 151.

We both know that is BS for BO but it may discourage some “independents”. I actually think this election will turn into another Dewey vs Truman moment for the media, but they are going to be trying to rattle us all the way to election day.
