With Superior Ground Operations, Obama Widens His Lead In Ohio By Holly Bailey, Yahoo! News

BEDFORD HEIGHTS, Ohio—For Mitt Romney's campaign, the location was nothing more than a friendly business that had agreed to host a rally to promote the candidate's policies toward small businesses and manufacturing.

But it was hard not to view Romney's midday appearance at American Spring Wire, a company that makes wire that bounces back into place, as a possible metaphor for the candidate's electoral hopes in this crucial swing state.

"It goes right back to where it started," Romney told a crowd of several hundred people here, explaining how spring wire works.

He's hoping the same can be said of his race in this state. The Republican candidate's impromptu tutorial came as a series of new polls found that after months of a close race here between President Barack Obama and Romney, the GOP's chances in Ohio appear to be slipping away.

A New York Times/CBS News/Quinnipiac poll released on Wednesday found Obama leading Romney among likely Ohio voters by 10 points, 53 percent to 43 percent. It came on the heels of a Washington Post poll released on Tuesday that found Obama besting Romney by 8 points in the state.

They were the third and fourth polls in a row to find Obama expanding his lead in the Buckeye State—a move that prompted ABC News to change its projection of Ohio being a "toss up" state in November to one that "leans Obama."

As Romney spoke, Obama was campaigning on the other side of the state, holding his own rally at Bowling Green State University. There, the president lit into his Republican opponent, accusing Romney of wanting to gut education by giving wealthy Americans a tax cut.

Romney must immediately fire his campaign strategists. Time to appeal to voter values in OH. Run 24/7 ads with DNC delegates booing God and show coffins and blood on the streets with burning embassies with just "A bump in the road" tag.

The Romney campaign leaders like Ed Gillespie, Stuart Stevens, and Reince Priebus RNC Chair, as blue-blood Republicans have no clue on how to fight a blood and guts trench warfare game.

Sack this team, do a major campaign ad buy and enough of the economic graphs (its not working). Speak to gay marriage, booing God, and show images of burning embassies and coffins arriving , and you'd have the Reagan Democrats back on your side.

I live in Ohio and can’t understand this at all. Why the hell anybody, except holder’s people, would vote for Obama is beyond my comprehension.

I find it incredibly difficult to believe that the same electorate that voted for John Kasich, a Republican, and know that Ohio’s lot has improved because of HIS policies would turn around and vote for obama no matter what these polls show.

Yeah, this is why Obama is spending all his time in Ohio.

It's gotta be close or he wouldn't be there and neither would Romney.

Reince Priebus needs to go. What’s in a name? A BAD JOKE is what’s in his name. Seriously, replace that slurring slo-mo with someone sharp and QUICKLY to the point!

So you actually believe this? Quinnipiac has admitted their polling is skewed.

And, does anyone think the debates are immaterial? Look what the debates did in the primaries. If Romney performs like he’s capable of performing, it’ll seal the deal for everyone except the all-in leftists. Obama is NOT a good debater, and Romney isn’t a tired old man like McCain.

I wish the Romney-Ryan team was not so far behind in the polls in OHIO, but then I realized that we have the Three C's, Cincinnati, Columbus and Cincinnati with their big inner city liberal, progressive Democrap voting blocs. Add those to the big voting blocs of inner city Toledo,Dayton,Youngstown, and the whole Northern Ohio area, and all the college student Obobo lovers, white guilt people, and you will see that we (Conservatives,Republicans) are outnumbered. I wish it wasn't true, but wishing isn't going to help. Too many people getting the freebies! I'm not giving up, just stating my opinion.

If even conservatives can’t completely remain immune to the impact of liberal MSM and negative reporting, who can?

However the majority of Ohio voters are not in the inner cities, why would the vote for Obama? Stupefies the crap out of me.

Maybe they place the polling as they do now, to explain away the illegal alien and dead people votes on election day.
