Allen West's new ad: The most brutal clip of 2012?

.Allen West's new ad: The most brutal clip of 2012?

The video: The campaign season has seen its share of vicious attack ads, but freshman Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) has just released what might be the most brutal campaign commercial of the year. (Take a look at the 30-second video below.) The spot begins with a montage spotlighting the controversial, blunt-spoken Tea Party favorite's military career, saying that on Feb. 16, 2003, West, then an Army colonel, was at Fort Hood, Texas, where he had just received deployment orders, and was preparing his men to go to war. Then it cuts to a picture of West's Democratic opponent, Patrick Murphy, and says that on the same night, Murphy was in South Beach, Fla., getting kicked out of a nightclub for fighting, "covered in alcohol and unable to stand." Murphy, who was 19 at the time and has described the night as the biggest mistake of his life, then confronted and verbally assaulted a police officer, and was taken to jail. The ad concludes: "Two men, a country in crisis. You decide."

The reaction: Wow, this takes nasty to a whole new level, says Aaron Blake at The Washington Post. Juxtaposing your opponent's police mug shot with pictures of you in uniform in a war zone is about as in-your-face as it gets. Well, Murphy started it, says Michael Warren at The Weekly Standard. Last month, a Democratic ad portrayed West, "who is black, cartoonishly punching a white woman." Talk about a low blow.

Wrong. The level changed when Veruca Murphy's daddy put together an ad showing Allen West, gold toothed and donning boxing gloves, punching an old lady in the mouth. Then, Veruca called West a 'coward'. Little Patty had this coming. Stings Patty, doesn't it?

Ding ding ding! We have a winner!

The Army is a military organization. The Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard(!) are naval organizations. Hence the name “US Naval Academy” and “US Coast Guard Academy”.

Air Force was created to not be a military organization, in order to be a more effective Air Force.
“ Hence the name, US Air Force Academy”.

Of course the Army had been running aviation with some degree of success since the Civil War. Thaddeus Lowe performed balloon reconnaissance during the Civil War, and performed the first overseas deployment in the Spanish American War. The Army air service observed the German preparations for the Marne offensive in WWI. The Army performed research on unmanned aircraft (The Kettering bug was an early attempt at a cruise missile) in the 1920s. The Army Air Force in WWII run the worlds largest air fleets.

That is by far the best political ad I have ever seen. In fact, I loved it so much I just made a nice donation to the man to help run it.

God Bless Lt. Col Allen West. I wish HE was the one running against the Zero.

Heck, the ad goes easy on him, it didn't mention the fake driver's license he was carrying that night.

As a 19-year-old freshman college student in 2003, Murphy was arrested outside a Miami Beach night club on charges of disorderly intoxication and possessing a fake driver license.

You are a very nice person, and I totally agree with you.

There is no other military org than the Arny.

However, the Navy, Marines and Air Force are no less.

Just different classifications.

Sorry to be so late with my reply. ;o)
