One child has been killed and six critically hurt, the Red Cross says, in a grenade attack on a church's Sunday school in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.
The attacker targeted St Polycarp's church on Juja Road.
A police spokesman said they suspected sympathisers of Somalia's al-Shabab Islamist militants were to blame.
Kenyan troops are at present part of an African Union force that has forced al-Shabab from its last Somali urban stronghold of Kismayo.
The Daily Nation quoted local police as saying that a number of those hurt at the church were injured in a stampede after the attack.
The police spokesman, Charles Owino, told Reuters news agency: "We suspect this blast might have been carried out by sympathisers of al-Shabab."

Kenya was a predominantly Christian nation until Obama started meddling in their internal affairn as a U S Senator (violates Logan Act). He strongly influenced the 2007 election where his cousin Odingo was running. O lost but Muslim went on a rampage, burning Christian churches with people in them etc, which forced a “power sharing” arrangement.
Since then O forced Abortion on demand to be inserted into Kenyan Constitution. He is of course promoting Islam which will take over the country eventually (ala France, England, Scandinavia and, finally, USA)
This will never be reported in the American mainstream media. They have created a false mythology around the practicioners of the religion of peace, and they will never let the truth break it down.

On February 19, 1976, Attorney General Bill Baxley of Alabama reopened an investigation, that had been previously closed, and that eventually led to the prosecution of a man for the infamous 1963 bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, in which three little girls were killed--in church on Sunday morning. On the reopening of the investigation, he received a letter from the local Ku Klux Klan that included a death threat.

By O’s own admissions, “his” words in his books, etc. he was not even introduced to Christianity until he started going to Rev Wright’s church as an adult. Rev Wright then says (on tape) that he showed O “a way” to beome a member of his church and not leave his Muslim friends behind. Wright is a former Muslim. O was a Muslim by “virture” of birth and bloodline and also adopted by Soetero and attended Muslim school and Mosque in Indonesia.
O and his family have been to church only a handful of times since leaving Wright’s church in 2008, and some of those visits were to see a Muslim guest lecturer.
I mean, for crying out loud. Whatever happened to the Duck Test? (you know, walks like one, quacks like one, etc.)
He has evey indication of being a Muslim, and no indicia of being a Christian. Let alone indiscriminately blowigg up villages with drone attacks in sovereign countries without any authority or permission.
Shalom: Wrong on the Logan Act. It was an act passed because of the diplomatic efforts of an American citizen to work out a deal with France pertaining to ship seizures, etc.
The Logan Act makes it a federal crime for a private citizen to negotiate any kind of treaty with a foreign state/government.
It should have been used to jail the Hanoi Lobby’s “Peoples Peace Treaty” which American student organizations and so-called anti-war groups signed with a North Vietnamese student organization. Since all organizations in No. Vietnam (and other communist dictatorships) are either part of the govt or function under their direct control, it was clearly a violation of this act.
Some of Jane Fonda’s activities in No. Vietnam came awfully close to a Logan Act violation but definitely were acts of treason during a time of war.
Tom Hayden is the worst offender of the Logan Act, aided and abetted by other members of the Hanoi Lobby.
Same goes for Code Pink and its activities in Iraq under Saddam, and Venezuela under Chavez.
Odinga, Obama’s cousin, was the son of Odinga Odinga, a Kenyan marxist with strong ties to Moscow. He may have presented himself as a Moslem but he was heavily involved in international communist activities re Africa.

Obama sure can choose them, but he won’t even send his half-brother in Kenya a new box to live in. Go figure.
