As Gun Rights Conference warms, Fast & Furious heats up anew
Seattle Gun Rights Examiner | 29 September, 2012 | Dave Workman

Posted on 09/30/2012 5:29:48 AM PDT by marktwain

In Orlando Saturday, talk about Operation Fast and Furious is once again heating up with Friday’s revelation by CBS News that Capitol Hill investigators are looking at a subpoena for someone who declined to talk earlier, and a key whistleblower is demanding the retraction of a June 27 article published by Fortune Magazine.

Fast and Furious was supposed to be just one of many issues discussed here at the 27th annual Gun Rights Policy Conference, but there are some people here who may make it a central topic.

Prof. John Lott, who wrote a blistering rebuttal to the Fortune Magazine article, is on the afternoon agenda. Mike Vanderboegh of Sipsey Street Irregulars, who originally broke the Fast and Furious story with National Gun Rights Examiner David Codrea, is here. There is an afternoon discussion, led by this columnist, on the “Fast and Furious Fiasco.”

Gun Rights Examiner was in a couple of chats Friday evening with people interested in the deadly scandal. This thing is not going away, although the consensus is that the "whole truth" may never be known, and all those responsible will never be held accountable, without a change of administrations, and a new attorney general,

Fast and Furious was supposed to have cooled down with the release ten days ago of the Inspector General’s report. But Politico’s Dylan Byers turned up the flame anew with his exclusive report about Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Special Agent-turned-whistleblower John Dodson’s demand for a retraction of the Fortune Magazine article in a letter from his attorney, posted here by Politico.

I met Dave at the GRPC. I am glad to have him working on Fast and Furious. He spans the old media and the new.

There’s also the Univision report that you (MarkTwain) reported on. F&F is not going away, and hopefully the mainstream media finally begin to take notice.

How long is the conference? And do they know we have been following this since day one trying to get the word out? Or don’t they even know we exist? Just curious.
Glad you got to go.

Must-See “GunBanObama” Website Now Active

As we enter the home stretch of this year’s critically important election, two things are certain: First, the winner of the election will have a profound effect on your Second Amendment rights, and second, it’s crucial that you know where the candidates stand on the Second Amendment so that you can make the right choice.
