Perhaps the screeching anti-Akin tribe at FR will change their minds as well.

Sorry, some people are never going to go along with the GOP establishment. Romney, Akin, and Rove deserve each other.

Realpolitik, nothing less nothing more. Any other GOP candidate would have been a guaranteed win so if Akin’s egotistical recalcitrance costs us a senate majority he will be damned—if we support him and he can somehow pull off a win, great, he will have dodged a bullet.
No need for regrets asking him to step aside after he ate his foot, it would have been the right thing to do and we would not be worried now about winning the seat.

Akin is one of the very few Republicans that didn’t cave, not even to his own “leadership”.

Look, I’d rather support his hotter competitor but, he is the more logical choice.

Sorry, some people are never going to go along with the GOP establishment. Romney, Akin, and Rove deserve each other.

Not fast. The pressure has been mounting in leaps and bounds to reverse the GOPe establishment ban on Akin. They are finally waking up to the fact that we MUST have that Senate seat and the sooner they get behind Todd Akin the better chances they can defeat the Obama clone, McCrackel.

What, now, needs to be done is for Palin, and YES Romney himself to apologize for their knee-jerk earlier announcement for Akin to step down.

I expect Palin and Romney as well as many others that shot themselves in the foot earlier to come around and politically endorse and back Akin in the very near future since many of the GOpe are stepping up to the plate for him. Time is rapidly running out and this thing has to be settled. Email, write, phone, fax, or just plain demonstrate with pro Akin groups and get your message out.

Claire McCaskill MUST be defeated. We MUST win a majority in the Senate or Romney will have to put up with another 4 years of dingy harry and his Senate majority leadership. We would have total gridlock. Now THAT is a nightmare!!!!

Romney, Akin, and Rove deserve each

Say what? Akin is NOT a GOPe/RINO. Don't lump in with the other two. Akin was the only true conservatie on the primary ticket.

I’m going to make a prediction. Not only will Todd Akin win, but without his victory, we would not have taken control of the Senate. It will be a sweet vindication and a huge rebuke to all the weasels who tried to kill off this good man and staunch conservative.

ROFL.

First we had Freepers defending Akin agains the "GOP establishment" who were calling for him to get out of the race. Now we have Freepers saying that Akin is part of the "GOP establishment."

You think you know all the answers. Well, it's not that simple. For one, he made a gaffe and admitted his mistake. How many others will do that rather than have the LSM spin them out of it. I can name a lot. Also, there is NO guarantee that anyone else that had replaced him would win either. Another, how do you know so much about him since I see you are not a Missourian but from South Carolina? Have you seen him debate McCaskill that they had recently? He won. Have you read his ACU voting record 0f 99% compaired to Clairebellie's 30%? Why don't you do some research on his bio (see my post # 3). All the other republican candidates didn't even come close to Todd's conservative record and seasoned Congressional background.

Let us unite behind him NOW since S.C. has a stake in this election as well. The circle firing squad MUST stop right here and now. S.C., Mo., and this entire Union not only needs to defeat the Obama clone (McCaskill) who gave Obama the 60th vote to crame ScareCare down out throats but give us the Senate Majority that Romney will need to turn this country around.

Akin doesn’t need support from former establishment GOP senators, he needs money. Lots of money. A few conservative PACs are beginning to come forward with financial support and that’s helping close the money gap with McCaskill. But what are Talent and Bond...and Romney...prepared to do to help in that area? Or will it just be lip-service?

That's what we need, negative thinking. /s

Look how things have suddenly started turning around for Todd. Let's take one day at a time. I predict he will be getting funding from not only the NRSC as they have already stated they are going to release now, but from PAC money that has been tied up just waiting for the dorp out date to pass. Watch this board this week. Game On!! Lets Roll!!
