Posted on 10/01/2012 7:13:44 PM PDT by MaryLou1
Unfortunately I am unable to post the daily thread when Kuhner's 10 AM EST show airs.
Since this is a very important part of maintaining a ping list I was looking for anyone who may be able to take over.
Send me a message if you are interested in being the new owner of the ping list.
Sorry and thanks guys,
Savage ping... sort of
get with raccoonradio
I can do it...and show airs at 11 actually. PM the list to me.
btw don’t be too surprised if Kuhner takes part in election night coverage on WRKO. Maybe Avi Nelson & Joe Battenfeld too
If you haven’t heard:
Starting tomorrow Jeff Kuhner will have morning drive on WRKO AM 680 as well as the 11 am show. So: 6 to 9 am,
then 11 am to noon.
>>Boston, MA — WRKO-AM 680 announced Wednesday that “The Kuhner Report” with Jeff Kuhner will take over morning drive from 6:00am - 9:00am, starting Thursday, November 1. Kuhner, who has been and will continue to host from 11am until noon, replaces Todd Feinburg and Michele McPhee.
Commenting on his expanded role, Kuhner said, “I am truly honored and happy to be at WRKO. This is a wonderful opportunity and my goal is to create the best morning talk show in Boston.”
Jeff Brown, Vice President and Market Manager for Entercom Boston said, “This caps off a season of positive change for WRKO. It’s the right move for our two most important customers, our listeners and our advertisers. Needless to say, I’m excited about our future.”
Kuhner has been with WRKO since January 2012 as a weekly guest on the radio station. He has filled in on every daypart as well, and his one hour show, dubbed “The Fastest 60 Minutes in Radio,” launched this past August. Additionally, Kuhner will be a regular contributor to WRKO.com with blogs, columns and weekly podcasts.
Kuhner, who has made the move to Boston, will continue to serve as the lead political columnist for The Washington Times. His column, which appears every Friday, is consistently one of the most popular in The Times’ commentary section. Kuhner is also the president of the Edmund Burke Institute, a Washington think tank. He did his doctoral work at Ohio University and taught U.S. history at McGill University in Montreal from 1998-2000 before deciding to make a career change to journalism. He has made numerous national radio appearances and served as a frequent guest host on “The Savage Nation.”
“Jeff has made an immediate impact in a very short period of time and has demonstrated that he’s ready for a bigger platform,” said Jason Wolfe, Vice President of Programming/Entercom Boston. “The positive reaction to his 11am hour has been simply overwhelming and his fearless, honest brand of talk makes him appointment listening.”
“Jeff Kuhner is a rising star and I’m very happy to have him as part of the WRKO team,” added Assistant Program Director Bill Cooksey.
great! thanks for posting this raccoon-you now have the ping list yes?
Kuhner is the best one out there in mnsho - any kuhner podcasts anyone know of?
hi, I think I do. Based on your post before I have
MaryLou1; rockabyebaby; glennaro; WilliamofCarmichael; bayouranger; Andy’smom; dynachrome;
that it? What I do is the Howie Carr ping list and I put those names on the same bit of text on my desktop. Two things:
1) Podcasts—the closest thing I’ve seen is someone put up parts of his show on youtube. What I’ll do—and this is a one time thing, possibly—is put up my recording of his first couple hours today
I only have limited space and this may get deleted eventually
2) I will do a special ping for the election for both Howie and Jeff. It may start Mon. or so and we will have running results, commentary etc. Obviously FR may have outages due to high usage so don’t expect miracles.
I work a night job and did hear part of his 8 am hour; as for the 6-8 am (above) I did record it and will hear back later on my mp3 player
Above podcast is about 195 MB. It’s 11:07 am and about one third of it is up; give it a few more minutes and the link
There are only selected podcasts of Kuhner on youtube but here is one from early Oct the ENTIRE SHOW of a fill in for McPhee and Feinburg (the show he just inherited)
Oh and now that I think of it parts of the show will be available as podcasts on the WRKO site! The direct link is:

Can Romney win in a landslide? Or will the liberals steal it? 11/01/2012
There are serious concerns in some states that the voting could be rigged. Do you think this is going to happen?
CURRENT AND PAST PODCASTS!
Four hours a day of Kuhner! 6-9am and his regular 11-noon and IIRC he’ll be doing election nite coverage. I hope RKO finds a place for Todd, maybe he can do election nite coverage with Kuhner. It would be nice if RKO put Todd on Sundays like he was before - waaay back - get rid of some of those ridiculous financial shows on the weekend - Network Capital Mortgage 800-700-8068 - 800-700-8068 - 800-700-8068 - 800-700-8068 - 800-700-8068 - 800-700-8068 - most annoying, as soon as I hear that program come on I shut it off.
Thanks for the updates!
