RUSH: People are sending me e-mails, folks. I got a note from a guy who was just in Washington. He said he couldn't find any evidence that there's a presidential campaign there. He didn't find any Obama signs. He didn't find any Obama bumper stickers. (Not much on Romney, either.) I got a story here from the Raleigh News & Observer: "At UNC-Chapel Hill, Finding Volunteers for Obama Campaign is Harder This Time."
Four years ago here in south Florida where we live, there were college kids all over the place carrying Obama signs and passing out Obama bumper stickers, and there's none of that. You know, I'm pretty much a recluse, so I have to ask people what's going on. (chuckles) Nobody's seeing them. There aren't any Obama signs out there. I don't even see Obama bumper stickers. I see some old 2008 stuff, but there's nothing new.
The guy that wrote me from Washington said there's no indication whatsoever that there's a presidential campaign going on, even in the DC suburbs. There are no Obama bumper stickers or paraphernalia on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, and that's the belly of the beast. It really is weird. There is no automatic... It doesn't seem right, and I don't know what to make of this, if anything, by the way. 'Cause this is all anecdotal.
Maybe it's been decided it's a waste of money, all these yard signs and bumper stickers, but it's a big difference from 2008. There's no spontaneous combustion enthusiasm out there, certainly not for Obama. Nothing like there was in 2008.

RUSH: Now, don't misunderstand me out there, folks, when we were talking about the lack of Obama signage out there. There isn't a whole lot of Romney signage, either, that anybody sees. I mean, there's some. But it's odd. It's a presidential campaign. It's an election that many people feel is the most crucial and important in their lifetimes, and maybe in the lifetime of the country because the future of the country's at stake and what kind of country we're gonna be.
And in certain states, you travel around, and there's no indication that anything is going on for either candidate. You don't see a lot of Romney stuff out there; you don't see a lot of Obama stuff. So if you go into a state where it is assumed to be a slam-dunk Obama state, like New Jersey, and you don't see any signage, what would you think? What would you think it means?
You'd probably think that Romney's not lighting any fires, right? If you're in New Jersey, a definite Democrat state, and there's no Romney sign, maybe -- maybe -- there's no prayer there, or no energy, no enthusiasm. I don't know. It's just is weird, given how crucially important to so many people this election is, and yet eyeball evidence is that there really isn't one going on. Yet it is the only subject in the media, for the most part. It's fascinating.

Obama bin Biden are going to be defeated in a landslide of historic proportions. Count on it.
By actual vote count, or by reported vote count?
There are some but not many around my area in WI. Frankly, I think our state is sick to death of constantly being in “election-mode”. I haven’t gotten mine yet but I will be in soon.
YIKES!!!
I hope that all the signs are in states that really matter. Here in NYState, I have seen only ONE Anti-Obama sign, none for Romney OR Obama, and several for Ron Paul and the other libertarian types.
I wish it made a difference here to give vocal support to the GOP Pres. candidate, but it absolutely does not. If Romney wins NY, he will be so far ahead of -bama that he won’t even notice our electoral votes.
Yes, but that would require rational thinking on the banker's part...
with their lady parts...
Frankly, I think you're due for one of your contemplative "what I'm doing/what's on my mind" posts.

ROTFLMAO !!!!! I was wondering if you were simply going to ignore that one ... LOL
Yes, I agree! I’m on hiatus due to the elections but I really need to tell the world about what I’ve been doing and all the oddball things that have been on my mind! For example, I’ve been getting aggravated with the people that work at Dunkin Donuts. I ask for a large regular coffee every morning but then they always have to ask me if I want a donut. No, I do not want a donut. I just want my coffee. If I wanted a donut, I would ask for a donut. It especially makes me angry because I’m on a diet and I need to lose some weight. Having a donut will keep me from losing weight and will make me even fatter. Also, I really like donuts and do not appreciate being tempted. Especially now that the apple cider donuts are now in season.
I can’t afford enough gas to get to the nearest cliff.
Nah, I simply missed it.
Amazing what “O” can do to a vote count by simply not voting present...
I agree with you that there could easily be a historic sweep coming. Tomorrow night - first 20 minutes - could easily seal the deal. If Romney is “on”, we will be able to start working seriously on the down-ticket races.
The best process right now of nominating a true conservative for POTUS will be electing Romney in 2012, and having Paul Ryan follow him.
It may not be 2016, but seeing Paul Ryan as President 2020 would truly be perfect vision for America - finally.

Officials said there have been no eyewitnesses.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Costa Mesa Police at (714)754-5252.
Wow, it’s true...I haven’t seen a single sign! I did see one empty chair though.
We have a Romney sign and several local candidates in our yard. I think it encourages neighbors to see that they are not alone. We do have 4 Obama signs in our neighborhood(Union thugs)but slowly the Romney signs have overtaken the Obama one. I get a boost when I see a Romney sign so I know people get one when they see ours.
I’m in a county in Illinois where enthusiasm for Obama was so high that we went blue for only the third time in 100 years, and I’ve seen three Obama signs so far.
This isn't a high school football game, so there's no need for cheerleaders.
The People are using stealth. The enemy will never know what hit them. Signs are unnecessary. Would tip our hand. Our hand is HUGH and People are SERIES!
