Democrats Support the Poor More than Republicans

In a debate with a friend who intends to vote for Obozo, I asked her: "Why?" Her answer: "Because Democrats support the poor and Republicans only support the rich and business." My response: "Given that Democrats controlled the Senate in all years but 9 since 1950 and the House for all but 7 years, do you really think they want to end poverty or control the poor through handouts?" She said: "They want to end it." My response: "A report out last summer showed that there is more poverty now than ever before, in both absolute and relative numbers, and that Democrats have controlled things for almost 60 years, don't you think maybe it's time for a different approach?" No response, so I asked: "As for business, doesn't a rising tide lift all boats? How many poor people have given you a job?"

She walked away...

I believe there are studies that show Republicans give much more to charity than Democrats.

Literally speaking your friend is correct. Democrats do indeed ‘support’ the poor with other peoples money. Democrats will always need poor people so they can have power, it is a religion to them.

She thinks for herself...but she’s convinced that liberals have it right and won’t pay attention to any other evidence. She and her husband even have a little statue of Obama in their living room! I hate that thing!!!!

I can think of only one reason why you would invest that kind of time...

You cannot debate idiocy.

I have had many “Bush Tax Cuts for the Rich” discussions with Libtards. The question I always ask is, “so, Tax Revenues fell because of the Bush Tax Rate Cuts?”.

Of course they ALWAYS answer in the affirmative. When I inform them that Federal Tax Revenues ROSE by 35% from 2003 (full implementation) to 2007 (when the Pelosi - Reid cabal took over), they refuse to believe it.

You cannot gain anything arguing with a DRONE. Facts mean nothing to them.

If you showed them a Video of Obama drowning Kittens, it would just give them an idea for a new hobby.

Very frustrating, isn’t it? Not a single factual argument can be made by an Obama / Democrat supporter to justify why they are voting the way they are. They are just cliche, circular arguments with no basis in reality or common sense. If the legislation is called the “Affordable Car Act” - then if you oppose it that means you are against the poor having healthcare. Whether or not the legislation would even be effective they don’t consider - it is how they “feel” about it.

She believes in Jesus but yes...the Obama statue - w/big smile showing all his teeth - is on a shelf next to the fireplace. BLECH!

I go to dinner there and try to not think about it.

“Where did the trillion dollar stimulus go?”

A bunch of it went to public union pension funds. That must have been stimulating Obama’s campaign funds lately.

In a debate with a friend who intends to vote for Obozo, I asked her: "Why?"

I have a few ex-friends that expressed their intention to vote for obama, but no discussion using logic will change their small, closed semi-comatose shriveling organ that at one time was a brain.

Save your time and go take a nap.

That’s probably my biggest complaint about Bush...he never used his veto power and there were plenty of times when he should have...including this one. Like I said: Where was the GOP?
