Kansas Republican Tim Huelskamp issued a challenge to the U.S. Department of Agriculture on Tuesday: Adopt the same calorie restrictions and menu standards in the department’s cafeterias as the USDA now requires in the nation’s public schools. While students pick at their vegetables, USDA’s cafeteria menus are loaded with unhealthy options for government employees — from pesto chicken pizza to BLTs with cheddar cheese, Cuban pork paninis to Philly steak subs, cheeseburgers to French toast. Require USDA employees to keep a diary of what food they serve in their homes AND install cameras in their food prep areas (aka kitchens) to provide an actual reference to validate those diary entries. Discrepencies would be grounds for administrative penalty!

While they’re at it, they should also make congress follow its own Obamacare.

...pesto chicken pizza to BLTs with cheddar cheese, Cuban pork paninis to Philly steak subs, cheeseburgers to French toast.

These are NOT un-healthy foods.

Lots of stick to your ribs food here at this USDA cafeteria. http://www.dm.usda.gov/oo/docs/Whitten%20Cafe%209_24.pdf
Pick from:
  1. Jamaican pork loin
  2. Hamburgers of different sizes
  3. Philly Steak sub
  4. fried fish sandwich (Icelandic cod)
  5. baked chicken wings

  1. for breakfast
  2. corn beef hash
  3. pork sausage
  4. sausage gravy
  5. eggs done many different ways
  6. hash browns
  7. scrapple
  8. pancakes
  9. French toast

These USDA numbnutz would last two days eating the black beans salads etc they try to ram down school kids throats. Plus no seconds for athletes and football players. No limit on what these Federales can eat, they have buffets too

Goobermint bureaucrats get to make up rules for everybody else.

They cannot possibly be expected to obey them.

Next time I’m in DC I’ll take photos of the cafeterias on Capital Hill. It’s unreal. The worst deep fried and heat lamped garbage you’ve ever seen. And then the morning doughnut bars. Unreal.

I like these two proposals:

Congress shall make no law that does not apply equally to all elected officials and all government employees.

Congress shall make no law exempting elected officials and government employees from any law applying to other citizens.
This includes, but is not limited to, Social Security, Affordable Health Care (Obamacare), and Medicare.

I like these two proposals:
A) Congress shall make no law that does not apply equally to all elected officials and all government employees.
B) Congress shall make no law exempting elected officials and government employees from any law applying to other citizens.
This includes, but is not limited to, Social Security, Affordable Health Care (Obamacare), and Medicare.
YOU MUST ADD THIS:
C) Congress shall subject themselves and their staff to no less than six years of full implementation and all ramifications of...Surfing Smiley
said laws and after another 6 years suitable public hearings and documentation before being deemed passed to the public;
excluding acts of war and other external threats to legitimate National Sovereignty.
