Republican Senate candidate Todd Akin on Thursday released a decade's worth of federal financial reports he has updated with nearly $130,000 in state pension income that he received, but failed to disclose, over that time.

Not bad at all. If he hadn’t paid taxes on it then it would be a different story.
Or fortunately. Depending on your viewpoint, I guess.
The IRS could get any one of us and any time.
That’s one reason why government is evil.
So he forgot to add in 10K of income from another source to his disclosure form. He paid the taxes, but forgot to add it in. No big deal.
We are currently in the administraion that has Geitners who forget to pay TAXES for years.
Todd Akin not Trace Adkins. LOL!
Wow. I never knew Akin owned a mansion in Cape Cod, near the Kennedy’s. How often does he go there?
How does Todd Akin perform? Juggling?
It's not the IRS it's his congressional financial disclosure forms. Nobody has said anything about him not paying taxes on his pension. Unlike McCaskill who, if I recall correctly, didn't pay property tax on an airplane or something.

I already slapped myself. :)
Haha Uncle Joe Biden is that you.. Stand up Trace...
Not reporting this pittance was clearly on oversight.
But not Paying TAXES and charging campaign for use of
an Airplane was a lot bigger issue (once it was found
out about)and Claire skated by.
The “non”reported 13 to 15 K/yr. “Retirement” should
be no big deal unless you are a Rep.
GO TODD< GO!!!
This isn’t IRS-related. These are voluntary disclosures to the public. AP was giving him a hard time about not disclosing just north of 10 G’s in annual pension income. Real petty stuff that reflects badly on AP. Nothing like Rezko handing a several hundred G bribe to Obama.
If Akin can ride Romney’s coat-tails, it might not matter. Another good debate performance by Romney will drive conservative voters to the polls and supress Leftist turnout.
In 2010 the democrats threw a fit about my congressman making the same disclosure. They threw a fit because his pension from the state legislature was his sole means of support for two years.
They dropped it when he started suggesting that the people should consider eliminating the pensions for state legislators altogether.
The biggest travesty reported in this article is that Akin makes $10,000 a year in a pension for serving 10 years as a state representative. Even worse, McKaskill makes $40,000 for holding elective office for about the same period of time. No wonder state governments are practically going bankrupt.
