enezuelans packed supermarkets on Friday to stock up on food and other essentials in case of trouble around Sunday's presidential vote, which was shaping up as the biggest electoral challenge of Hugo Chavez's 14-year rule. Energetic young state governor Henrique Capriles has gained momentum in the closing days of the campaign and he seemed to have the opposition's best chance of unseating Chavez since the socialist president came to power in 1999. Many among the South American oil exporting nation's 29 million people are fretting that tight results could bring accusations of fraud and protests in an already highly polarized society awash with illegal arms. "I have to think about my family, there could be violence, anything is possible in this country," said housewife Dayana Alvarez, 38, among scores of shoppers buying cooking oil, powdered milk, candles and flour in a teeming Caracas supermarket.

This. I think that Obama is abusing his power and acting dictatorially, but no matter what, the elections will go on. Even during the depths of America under Wilson, the 1916 and 1918 elections were conducted without a hitch, and the losers stepped out of office. And that was a time when the president literally threw tens of thousands of his political opponents into jail and tried to have major adversaries barred from taking their seats in Congress.

Things will get real quickly if any crap starts outside of the leftist enclaves.
Things will get calm.

I'm not sure he wants to stay. His performance(?) Wednesday night seemed to say he wants out if he doesn't get the votes of the Affirmative Action Party.
We still have a month of calm here in the states.
We may want to think of doing the same, particularly if these skewed polls keep showing Obama in the lead.
You, sir, are an optimist.
What happens in Oakland when the Raiders lose?
They riot.
What happens in Oakland when the Raiders win?
They riot.
If by “governing” you mean rounding up the politically incorrect and sending them to “work” camps, you are correct.
3) Our military. It’s not coming for us.
Right. Because the ignorant class is stupid enough to vote for zero, they are also too stupid to do the most basic prepping. Their incompetence defines them; that why they are on various welfare programs. So, this means that in a crisis, economic or natural, they will resort to their only recourse- looting and rioting. This will keep the military and police very busy, and any thought of disarming the law abiding public or hassling them with bogus ordinances will be long gone.
