Team Obama Blames John Kerry for Debate Loss
breitbart.com ^ | 6 Oct 2012 | ALEXANDER MARLOW

From CBS's "This Morning":

Norah O'Donnell: "Some Democrats say [Obama's] campaign needs a wake-up call.  Bill Plante is here with that part of the story.  Bill, you've been talking to your sources; what are they saying?

Correspondent Bill Plante: "Well Norah, they're simply upset and really outraged.  They blame the President's team, first of all, for not preparing him to meet the challenge of an aggressive Mitt Romney.  They say that nobody in the room challenged him, including the guy that he was debating with, John Kerry, because, as they say, he wants to be Secretary of State so he's not going to get in the President's face. And Presidents are used to deference; they're not used to people challenging them like that.  So they think that the debate prep was terrible, but they also fault the President himself for not understanding that Romney was going to be more aggressive."

The 2012 Obama campaign continues to be a stark contrast from their 2008 effort.  In 2008, then Senator Obama used youthful ebullience, soaring rhetoric, and a precise campaign infrastructure to capture the hearts and minds of the American people.  In 2012, the President seems increasingly lethargic and quick to make excuses for missteps on the campaign trail.

What once was "Hope and Change" is now "Mope and Blame," and this time it's John Kerry under the President's bus.

Clearly Obama was affirmaive-actioned all the way through college and public service jobs...right up to the presidency. He is not competent.

The only question now is...can the media distort Romney’s record enough to squeeze Obama in? The One is a total media confection.

The emperor has no clothes.

So “Team Obama” picks a moron to be the debate-prep partner and when that fails they blame the moron?

Wow.

"The Won" became "The Lost" last Wednesday.

This is silly. For all his flaws, Kerry was probably a good debate coach. He knows Romney well. Also, Kerry got quite aggressive in the 2004 debates, and his approach was effective. Most likely what Kerry was trying to convey did not penetrate through Obama’s narcissistic ego fortress.

Have you perceived a media consensus that Romney was "aggressive" in the debate?
This is clearly the dem premise but in reality, it's simply not so.

If Mitt had walked up to Obama and accused him of being a socialist or demanded proof of eligibility; if he had demanded an explanation of Obama's relationship with Wright and Ayres or release of college transcripts, then, yes, that would have certainly been aggressive.

As it is, all Mitt did was defend his own record and positions against leftist distortions. Since when is it considered aggressive to defend yourself?
Romney was barely assertive but Obama is so thin-skinned even this was a shock to his system.

“This is silly. For all his flaws, Kerry was probably a good debate coach. He knows Romney well.”

SOMEONE has to take the blame for the messiah, even if it takes almost a week to assign it, as well as “Team Obama” had to manipulate employment statistics to adjust for the damage.

FU, Hussein Heads, and your god with clay feet, too!

Maybe Kerry’s debatubg approach was wrong. I understand he coached Obama in French.

Kerry cannot articulate a conservative position. NOBODY in the 0bama camp believes American values and Capitalism, so they cannot simulate the attcks. They need to hire Newt as a debate prep. (Newt might do it if he is allowed to have the video for a pay per view! I'd love to see that.)

How many excuses are the liberals going to make for Obama in the debate?

It was the altitude in Denver, Obama not used to debating, the real Romney didn’t show up, Romney threw out so many falsehoods that Obama couldn’t keep up with them all, Obama doesn’t watch MSNBC to get talking points, Jim Lehrer didn’t moderate the debate properly, so it was unfair to Obama, and now John Kerry didn’t prepare him for the debate properly.

So many excuses have been made for Obama, that it’s laughable. But since Obama can’t be held accountable for anything, the liberals are pushing the narrative that the debate was unfair and Obama wasn’t prepared properly.

John Kerry “reported for doody” as he was asked. So, I wonder who is preparing the Gaffe-o-matic?

He’s never been challenged.

During the McCain/Obama debates, McCain clearly won, but the moderators and the media covered for him.

Mitt was not aggressive. He was confident and competent. Aggressive? Not hardly.

If Obama thinks Mitt showed aggression, he’s out of his league in the foreign sphere. No wonder things are a mess.
