Obastard’s body language was very telling. He constantly made very small nodding “yes” head motions indicating agreement with every attack line that Romney launched against him. It was very weird to see a debater subtly agreeing with his opponent. It’s very poor form to give yourself away like that, but to nod IN AGREEMENT with your opponents points against you is really weird and astonishing.

I was nervous for about the first 25 minutes. The I called my son who was listening on the radio to see if he was hearing what I was seeing. It was all frosting after that!

The reason Romney won is because for the first time in this campaign, the public could have a side by side comparison of the two candidates unfiltered by the media. The comparison was not flattering for Obama. The emperor has no clothes.

“Romney speaks directly to Obama with strong, but respectful self-assurance.”

That is why he won the debate. Romney had some great zingers...that he used sparingly and was low tone in manner. Romney came across and respectful but right.

I am not remotely a Romney supporter (of course I don’t support Obama in ANY way), but I admired the debating skill he showed. He sliced and diced Obama, and did so with a smile. It was one for the history books. Let us hope that Romney continues to do the same in the other debates. Even IF he loses and Obama pulls off a win because of the ghetto&liberal vote, Obama will be a mortally wounded lame duck.

Lord Obozo as the head of the Chicago Mob controlling America is not a nice guy nor a smart guy. He is an equal opportunity thug in a job, he should not be in!

Barack Obama has been savaged over his performance in last Wednesday night‘s presidential debate, with one commentator even suggesting that he was less effective than the hapless Jimmy Carter.

As Clint noted, the Empty Chair improved by codetoad:

ROMNEY LOST THE DEBATE! OBAMA IS IN CONTROL!

It is past time to fire Barack and his empty chair and have both of them hit the road back to Chicago!

So hit the road Barack and take your empty chair and empty suit with you!

NOW WHAT? Obama's camp is hoping VP Biden's debate performance Oct 11 will pull Obama's burning nuts out of the fire.

So watch Biden get all fuzzy and teary-eyed about the middle class "burden"---- and he loves to snick and snarl about those horrid one percenters---but lookie here---the lyin' lowdown turkey doesn't mind pocketing Richie Rich's money. Read on.

===============================================

NY POST PAGE SIX---Obama still has some friends in investment banking. Chad Leat, managing director and chairman of Alternative Asset Group — Investment Banking at Citigroup Inc, hosted a $10,000-a-plate dinner for VP Joe Biden on Aug. 24 at his home---The Barnyard in pricey Bridgehampton. Leat is described in Hamptons Cottages and Gardens mag as a “banker, dedicated equestrian and imaginative host,” with an “elegant, but hip” home. On the table for discussion will undoubtedly be the Obama economy and jobs. Probably not up for discussion will be that in 2008 Leat's employer Citigroup got Obama's $45 billion government bailout in two installments. (N-o-o-o connection, of course--/snix).

NY POST PAGE SIX---Actor Nathan Lane hosted an Obama fund-raiser attended by Joe Biden in Bridgehampton. The Aug. 24 event, called "East End for Obama," featured a performance by singer James Taylor. Hosts included actress Julianne Moore, “Sopranos” star Edie Falco and Jane Holzer. An Obama fund-raiser in the exclusive Hamptons enclave of the rich---host Chesler bragged and e-mailed media that the event “began in the arts community out East but has morphed into what we understand will be the major Obama campaign event this summer in the Hamptons.” Tickets range from $500 to $10,000 to join the host committee and get a photo with Biden

=======================================================

THIS SHOULD COME IN HANDY VP Biden's son, Hunter Biden, was previously a top official at PARADIGM Global Advisors, a hedge-fund holding company founded with Vice President Biden’s brother, James, and marketed by convicted finance fraudster Allen Stanford. As Paradigm chairman, Hunter Biden oversaw half a billion dollars of client money invested in hedge funds while remaining a lobbyist. Cooper chipped in $2 million for the ill-fated venture, which went down in flames amid nasty fraud lawsuits." (NOTE Stanford is now in jail but the Biden's got off scot-free.)

NOTE Oama put VP Biden in charge of the trillion dollar federal stimulus. Guess Joe's son and brother are gonna help him disperse the money.

================================

Offshore Fraudster Stanford had links to offshore fund run by VP Biden's relatives / Reuters on Yahoo | 2/23/09 | BY Ajay Kamalakaran (Reuters) – A fund of offshore hedge funds run by two members of VP Joe Biden's family was marketed exclusively by offshore firms controlled by Texas financier Allen Stanford, charged by regulators with an $8 billion fraud, the Wall Street Journal said. The Bidens $50 million fund was jointly branded between the Bidens' Paradigm Global Advisors LLC and the offshore Stanford Financial Group entity headquartered in Antigua, and was known as the Paradigm Stanford Capital Management Core Alternative Fund, the WSJ said. --snip--

Thanks for posting these good points about Romney's strong points, but, IMHO Romney needs to continue a most powerful discussion he began on Wednesday about the immorality of loading future generations with debt. "Ideas have consequences!" (Weaver).

"I sincerely believe... that the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity under the name of funding is but swindling futurity on a large scale." --Thomas Jefferson to John Taylor, 1816. ME 15:23

"[With the decline of society] begins, indeed, the bellum omnium in omnia [war of all against all], which some philosophers observing to be so general in this world, have mistaken it for the natural, instead of the abusive state of man. And the fore horse of this frightful team is public debt. Taxation follows that, and in its train wretchedness and oppression." --Thomas Jefferson to Samuel Kercheval, 1816. ME 15:40

The second and succeeding parts of Romney's discussion must allow younger generations to see that the consequence of debt is loss of freedom, making their choice one of freedom vs. slavery to government.

America's Founders and Framers of the Constitution which, if enforced by its "only KEEPERS" (Story) prevents Obama and his fellow "progressives" from enslaving America through excessive and non-productive spending.

The Author of our Declaration of Independence from another petty tyrant's excesses, Thomas Jefferson, in his First Inaugural Address, summarized what Romney needs to find a way to summarize. His clearly-stated summary is reproduced below, as it appears in "Our Ageless Constitution."

Zero assumed he could phone it in and the worthless media would cover his incompetent ass.....trouble is the media would have done it if it had been remotely close...it was a blowout and even they were upset that he just blew it off. Reality is he didn't just blow it off.....he's really this incompetent. The real Obama showed up at this debate, no speeches written by someone else, no teleprompter to read words written by some one else and no adoring media to feed him softball questions and then lead him to the right answer. He's a phony bastard and has been from the git go.

I was hoping someone in the crowd would shout out “Bullsh*t!” when Zero was talking, but no such luck...it would have been worth getting thrown out.

“The President primarily looks down or directly at Romney for the remainder of the debate, receiving his scolding with a comportment that can best be described as submissive.”

Obama has a man crush on Romney.

Romney's facial expressions, stance, firm responses, etc., are the RESULT and EVIDENCE of a life long cultivation of American CORE VALUES.

That is the one thing we here in FreeRepublic center on day in and day out, over and over again.

We may use words like patriot, but what we mean is ... something inside that is uniqely American.

I won't repeat how I get there, but the fact of the matter is,; there is NOTHING AMERICAN in or about zero.

THAT'S why I call him zero ... 'cause he jus' AIN'T.

Very well said! I agree.

Romney was forceful and well-informed. He was undaunted.

Obama didn't resort to his usual tactic of insulting and taunting his opponent (which he normally does when they are not present). So Romney was both undaunted and untaunted.
