Video: SNL on debate – “The worst thing that ever happened” (MSNBC skewered)

The recently reinvigorated cast of Saturday Night Live has been having a field day with the 2012 election and their ratings have shown a payoff for their efforts. Yes, the majority of their skits still tend toward skewering conservatives and Republicans, but to give credit where credit is due, they do take some shots at Obama when the target is too obvious to ignore. Such was the case with last week’s debate....

...it was a fairly glaring attack not just on Obama’s poor performance, but the totally vacuous nature of the MSNBC prime time lineup. The roughly four minute video follows and, for once, you may want to actually watch. The show stealer is, beyond a doubt, the Sharpton character.

SNL version of the debate is not terribly bad:

Yep. I remember when my kids watched “Kenan and Kel” on Nickelodeon (man, that makes me feel old to say that).

Pretty funny.

What really matters is that they are now mocking him. Not very much, but a little. The premise of the whole first debate sketch was the Romney was lying and Zippy was worried about his anniversary. In the MSNBC sketch, they were mocking MSNBC much more than they were mocking Zippy. So in many ways they are still making excuses for him.

I think the bubble has finally burst. It must be painful for the lefties to see their candidate as he really is instead of how his puppetmasters have made him appear.

Well, first of all this was Saturday. Secondly, Monday is the start of a new week.

Try Googling "What is the first day of the week Monday or Sunday?"

Answers at Yahoo:

Sunday is the first day of the week. The week is designed around Jewish beliefs. The Sabbath is the "day of rest" when God finished creation, also called the seventh day. The Sabbath is Saturday. So, if Saturday is the seventh day then Sunday is the first. Sunday also gets it's name from ancient beliefs that in the morning when the sun came up, the world started anew, thus a new weeks starts on Sunday.

Timeanddate.com:

The first day of the week varies all over the world. In most cultures, Sunday is regarded as the first day of the week although a few observe Monday as the first day of the week. According to the Bible, the Sabbath or Saturday is the last day of the week which marks Sunday as the first day of the week for many Jewish and Christian faiths.

wikipedia.org:

The first day of the week is Sunday....The days of the week from the Roman period have been both named after the seven planets of classical astronomy and numbered, beginning with Sunday.

wiki.answers.com:

Yes, Sunday is the first day of the week. Many will say that Sunday is the 7th day of the week and that it says so in the Bible. Actually, they are incorrect, as it actually says it is Sunday.

Calendars will occasionally show Monday as the first day of the week. That is because either the producers think Monday is the first day of the week, or it is put that way because Monday is normally the first day of the working week. Nevertheless, whatever way a calendar has been printed and whatever country you are in and whatever religion you belong to and whatever people say, Sunday is the first day of the week.

So, go look at your nearest calendar:

Is it MTWTFSS?

No, it is SMTWTFS!

Next is your comment:

Well, first of all this was Saturday.

No, the writer was refering to the parody that happened on Saturday Night Live. But, the writer of whom you were reading submitted the material to be read by others on SUNDAY, the first day of the week!!

It amazes me when people don't get the most obvious, basic tenets of human life. The sun rises in the East; days are 24 hours long; the sky is blue; Sunday begins the week; etc.
