Evidently the folks at National Geographic are not bright enough to realize that a population that predated laws could not possibly do anything illegal.
First-grade logic FAIL!!!
Dude is a plagiarist. I heard the Mexican writer Carlos Fuentes give the contents of that letter as a speech back in the early 1990s.
What silly, ignorant, foolish nonsense. The first Europeans to arrive in America were explorers. They were followed by colonists. There’s no such thing as immigrating to a region that has no organized, enforceable sovereign authority. Totally bogus. Some simpletons would have us believe that land ownership is established by merely standing on terrain.
You’re exactly right. And it’s frustrating to say the least that pro-unending mass immigration enthusiasts get mainstream media forums to spew forth this garbage.
Immigration is a very complex and far reach topic. I don’t think there is any single issue more important because immigration impacts and affects pretty much every top-tier issue. We should have a serious, rational debate about how much, if any, immigration we should allow. Instead we get morons like this uttering pure nonsense about how we’re all illegal aliens. It’s nothing but a cheap way to make people feel guilty for daring to oppose mass immigration.
I have Cherokee and possibly other “native” blood, and I know an ancestor came over in 1622 with some cousins, so my American roots are fairly well entrenched. Any one that says otherwise can KMA.

My dad’s side has been traced back to before and including Charlemagne but haven’t had much luck for my mom’s side.
You forgot the Barf Alert.
Every country has a right to determine who comes in, as well as a right to expel illegals.
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
Yeah, that means all countries in all of the Americas - not just “the USA” - are 100% full of illegal immigrants. Since even the Indians (and the Africans they may’ve killed off) migrated from somewhere.
I knew this had to be an idiot self-righteous “reader” as opposed to an editorialist, who usually have more decency in writing.
BTW, “melting pot” is what we USED to call it, Mr. PC. People were expected to meld in and adopt “American” ways, not insist on just being what they were from (having cake and eating it, too). PC bastards tell us we should have balkanization and as such, it should be a tossed salad.
What a bunch of disgusting BS.
This is a letter to the editor; he’s not a “journalist”, just Joe Schmoe.
” PC bastards tell us we should have balkanization and as such”
This creates Democrat voters. The slimeballs know exactly what they are doing.
Still trotting out all the tired old arguments, I see....
