Author Ed Klein: As Benghazi blame nears Hillary, Clintons grow furious
The Daily Caller ^ | 10/12/12 | Alex Pappas

Posted on 10/12/2012 2:10:52 PM PDT by justlittleoleme

In an exclusive interview with The Daily Caller, Klein said sources close to the Clintons tell him that Bill Clinton has assembled an informal legal team to discuss how the Secretary of State should deal with the issue of being blamed for not preventing the Benghazi terrorist attack last month.

White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters during a press conference Friday that responsibility for the consulate in Libya fell on the State Department, not the White House.

If blame for the security failures falls to Hillary Clinton, Klein said, it’s possible that she would even consider resigning over the issue.

“Bill is working on a number of strategies about what Hillary ought to do. He’s even gone so far as to play with various doomsday scenarios including up to the idea that Hillary would consider resigning over the issue if the Obama team tries to use her as a scapegoat,” Klein told TheDC in an interview.

Rush is right that Hillary hasn’t a prayer now, nor in 2016...

Try telling that to some Freepers. They've been scared of Hillary since 1992, and despite the fact that she's an over-the-hill hag who'll look like a geriatric in another four years, they're still scared.

Never mind that she's said in no uncertain terms that she's not interested in running again (every time she's been asked). Some people will fear her til the day she dies.

Has Petraeus made a statement about this? I missed that. The tide of information coming out now is overwhelming me. Watching all four plus hours of the Oversight Comm. hearing ate up a lot of reading time.

If blame for the security failures falls to Hillary Clinton . .

IF ?

She's the Sec of State, unless she can prove interference from higher up it's totally her failure.

She said that every time she was asked about running in '08.

I wouldn’t put much if any credence to Hillary and Bill taking any negative steps against Obama and/or his enablers. Both are part of the Chicago/Soros/international cabal that decided Obama would be the POTUSA instead of Hillary this time around. The cabal believed that it was the time and possible that a person of Obama’s history could be more effective than even Hillary in giving the USA to Islam and internationalists. Hilary was told to sit down because the cabal had enough on both Clintons to make their lives miserable if not short.

She certainly should have to take full responsibility for everything at the State Dept. barring, as you say, interference from above.

But 0bama missed his chance at being clean on this when he and his flack Carney actively took up the task of helping promote the "video did it" story. He can no more excuse his ignorance of the truth by blaming Hillbilly than she can slough off blame on him.

Was wondering today why all the fantastic promised help Billy was going to give Obama in this campaign hadn’t seemed to materialize - now the light comes on......

Well, maybe you're right. I guess she sorta kinda maybe could look presidential in another four years, if she can somehow hold it all together. Why not?

Whaddya think, Hil? You game?

She looks like a gunny sack full of dog droppings, Windflier. lol

The left is still in luv with her so I'm not sure it matters what she looks like. More to my point though, I wouldn't believe a word she says.

You and me. I ended up watching that entire hearing very early the following morning and am still paying for it. But I'm glad I did...

The story on the Petraeus statement was attributed to Fox - I'm not sure if it's still there, but I just now found it repeated on Michelle Malkin's site:

FoxNews: “Yet a congressional source told Fox News that CIA Director David Petraeus, during a briefing with members of the House Intelligence Committee three days after the attack, also espoused the view that Benghazi was an out-of-control demonstration prompted by the YouTube video. According to the source, this was “shocking” to some members who were present and saw the same intelligence pointing toward a terrorist attack”.

Now, granted, this was somewhat earlier on, but, still, many people understood what had happened, at that point. That Petraeus did not is just not believable. IMO.

Well, I hope not. So far, I am disappointed, even shaken:

(To repeat)

I recorded the hearing and watched it into the wee hours. And I’m still paying for it too. Nope, not believable. Seems like he’s fully on board with the 0 & H team. Scary!

I need to get set up so I can record off the web...

Good find. Bookmarked. Their excuses are starting to look like utterly transparent lies.

I will read it, skimmed through some, Yes, it answers the HOW.

But, I still don't get the WHY? I never will understand the need for POWER and control of other people. Not in my blood. I find it very foolish for the end is death anyway and where is the power then? kinda funny.

As I see these people like Hillary attempt to be a player, and with all her will and might, she wants to be the top dog, she is being used by one higher up, kinda funny.

My reaction is not unlike the “expression” on the left in this YouTube vid, at 2:14:

(I think I’ll watch it one more time to put me in a better mood for going to bed soon!)

Anonymous congressional sources aren’t very reliable.
