OK here’s another question: What were US officials in Libya doing on a ‘chat room’ in the first place? And... what ‘chat-room’ was he on?
Was this a secure web site? Did posting that they saw photos being taken signal to the attackers that they were seen? And maybe force their hand to attack before their target withdrew?
Isn’t that the kind of operational intelligence better communicated to the uppper levels of command, rather than ‘chat-room’ buddies?
I just ran across Lame Cherry’s blog and the timeline is interesting indeed. I had never considered Lebanon being in the mix.
