Knowing What You Know Now, Would You Have Backed Romney From The Primary?

Posted on 10/16/2012 10:52:22 AM PDT by SarahPalin2012

Or would you have still backed Cain/Gingrich/Santorum/Christie/Palin (whoever your choice was from before or during the primary). I think it's an interesting question. Mitt wasn't my first choice, but am glad that he is doing so well. Would you now prefer Mitt over another who may or may not have done as well? Of course, I myself am a completely committed supporter of Mitt Romney since the primary was decided.

No. I try not to sell out my principles.

I didn’t prefer him....I ultimately didn’t prefer ANY of the flawed candidates that showed up and actually lasted to near the end.

Nonetheless, I will vote for him - against Obama. If we do not, we are lost.

I REALLY got on the MITT Bandwagon when he picked Paul Ryan as his VP. GREAT PICK!

Hard to say because whoever got the nomination would have my support against Obama.

IF Romney wins I’m good with it, but I enjoyed every front runner, Cain, Gingrich, Bachman (was she a frontrunner)? All were better than Obama.

All I know is fortunately Perry was weeded out due to his inability to debate. Debating skills are all-important.

Would not have backed Romney.

Still don’t support Romney.

However, I will hold my nose and vote for him as the lesser of two evils.

No. I’ll vote for him because the alternative is worse. But I still don’t like him. I don’t trust him. I don’t think he has a single political position that he hasn’t changed at least once. And regardless of who wins in three weeks I’m looking forward to backing a conservative candidate in the Republican presidential primaries in 2016.

NO! I won’t for that flip-flopping liberal - either back then or in November. Heck, I’m not even early voting!

Why? I can’t stand Mitt Happens. He’s no conservative. He’s a RINO with the R beside his name.

All the candidates had desirable qualities/attitudes.My attitude from the start was..who's the most conservative of the bunch who can actually beat Osama. Not possessing a crystal ball I've never been sure who that was.Although Romney is far from being my “dream candidate” I'll crawl over broken glass to vote for him (in fact I did so today..absentee ballot) because Osama Obama *is* my (and my homeland's) worst nightmare.

No. I try not to sell out my principles.

That's as dumb as a Biden answer. So if you don't get your preferred candidate in the primary, and support the eventual nominee, that's selling out your principles? That's being a crybaby and acting juvenile.

If you want optics Romney is the best. Not as good a talker as Gingrich but smooth, tall, in good shape, handsome along the Reagan line. He also comes across positive.

I don’t really care if he wins.

Mitt Happens is Obama with a lighter tan. They don’t disagree on much.

I think we’ll see that tonight on foreign policy.

Why -- even now -- would we "favor" somebody who thinks it's A-OK to dismember a younger Jessica Ridgeway if an abortionist tells mom that her "health" isn't quite up to snuff?

Romney thinks it's A-OK for abortions for "health of the mom."

Romney thinks it's A-OK for embryos to be "donated" to "research." (Wow, what a euphemism!)

Romney thinks it's A-OK for incest perpetrators to cover up their crimes by aborting the results of their crimes.

No. I didn’t trust Romney then, and I don’t particularly trust Romney now. Not one single bit. There’s nothing in his background or record to give me a shred of confidence.

But I want Obama to lose. I want him to be seen as a LOSER. I want his agenda discredited. There’s a great psychological value in all that, which could last years. And hopefully help to prevent his loathsome brand of marxist/redistributionist anti-Americanism from making a comeback anytime soon.

No. To think that we could have had a much better candidate and had to settle for Mitt due to open primaries and the GOP-e still bothers me.
