Hillary's Price (She isn't simply taking a fall over the Benghazi debacle without exacting a price)
American Thinker ^ | 10/16/2012 | J. Robert Smith

Posted on 10/16/2012 11:10:52 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

Rest assured that Secretary of State Hillary Rodham-Clinton isn't taking a fall over the Benghazi debacle for President Obama without exacting a price -- a steep price. It's not Bill's or Hill's way to give from the heart. Like the devil, the Clintons expect their due, and gosh darn it, they're going to get it -- one way or another.

The Benghazi cover-up is a festering sore on the Obama presidency -- or more immediately, on Mr. Obama's re-election chances. "What did the president know, and when did he know it" is more than a shopworn saying regarding Benghazi and the president's involvement. In fact, a tougher question is whether or not Mr. Obama was the instigator of the cover-up, or as was said during Watergate, a "co-conspirator."

Of course, it's a guessing game as to what Mr. Obama is surrendering to Hillary for graciously falling on her sword. It depends, in fact, on Hillary's gambit working and knocking the bloodhounds off Mr. Obama's trail. The president has already turned over a small mountain of chits to Hillary's sometimes hubby, Bill, for the latter's convention speech on behalf of Mr. Obama. Actors like Bill expect to get paid -- and SAG minimums he ain't accepting.

How handsomely Mr. Obama compensates the Clintons depends in large part on his securing another four-year lease at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Let's hope that Mr. Obama's ability to meet the Clintons' shakedown terms is foiled by that Republican fella from Massachusetts, Mitt Romney. A vexed Bill and an irate Hill aren't the devils Mr. Obama wants to contend with.

Can you say “Supreme Court”?

Exactly what I'm thinking as well.

Wow. I’m still processing this whole Libyan fiasco. It has gone so wonderfully wrong on so many different levels for 0bama.

1. He lied and lied and lied about the stupid video, and now he’s been caught;

2. The terrorists must be the most frustrated group in the world because they committed a direct attack on the United States, and got ignored. They will not be ignored. Not that it’s a good thing, but it’s just an observation.

3. The media tried to cover for 0bama, but deep down inside I wondered if they got tired of Axelrod’s constant hectoring and bullying. Yes, they are of the same ideological stripe, but even the battered wife will dump the loser husband eventually. I think the dam has cracked, it just might be breached here.

3. If 0bama planned all this as his “October surprise” it was the worst conceived, worst executed “October surprise” of all time. It probably cost him his job (and rightly so).

4. The GOP is sticking it to him and he is foundering on this issue.

5. Now he’s been stabbed in the back by Hilary. Sure, for her it might be a “poison pill” but her acceptance of responsibility was clearly not known in advance by 0bama and his staff, as they didn’t have a good response. What the heck, there IS no good response to it. And it’s not coincidence that Hilary chose to make the announcement in Peru, of all places.

Tonight will be huge; it really is the chance for Romney to land the knockout punch. 0bama is in a no-win position; either he hides behind Hilary’s skirt, or he takes responsibility and has to admit he lied to the American people. Either way he loses big time.

Hillary is already too old and too fat to be elected president and she ain’t gonna get any younger or slimmer.

She will never sit on the Supreme Court, either. Nor will Bill.

Hillary’s only failing as secretary of state is that she’s late for everything...when she looks at a clock, it stops.

Not buying this theory and I guess we will never know since Obama is not going to win. Since Bill and Hill are well aware of this fact, there is no way Hillary would take the fall for a check that Obama can't cash.

This is 100% Hill and Bill. The best theory goes like this- Obama threw Hillary under the bus. Hillary attempted damage control in a closed conference call with the Press except FOX news. She ultimately surmised that the public will partially blame her so she took responsibility (then, shifted the blame to the intelligence community for 2016 cover). This now puts Obama in a place where he needs to take responsibility, i.e, she throw him under the BUS. Will the GOP say, Mr President your SOS took responsibility, will you now also take it??

I have to basically agree with everything you say. I also believe that if Romney does well tonight he will sew it up but if he doesn’t he still has time to finish it. Obama can end his chances tonight with a bad showing but a good showing will only stop the bleeding.

question is whether or not Mr. Obama was the instigator of the cover-up

or whether or not the kenyan was the facilitator of the attack in an effort to get the ambassador kidnapped for a dramatic "rescue" or trade for the Blind Sheik to enhance the kenyan's credentials as a Foreign Policy ace.

Much more likely.

Also, according to Rush, The Kenyan is paying off Hitlery's campaign debts from 2008.

RE: What price has she paid other than saying “the buck stops with me”?
Has she resigned?
Has she been asked to resign?

_____________

It has been openly reported that regardless of whether Obama wins or loses in this election, she’s NOT going to be secretary of state anyway. If Obama wins, she already signaled she’s not going to serve a second term. if Romney wins, then she’s out.

What’s there to lose? either way, she’s gone.

Might as well throw her party a lifeline and be loved by her base.

Rush’s theory is that Hussein’s campaign had cooked up the whole video story immediately after the attacks happened. Hussein was aware of the plan, and that’s why he felt free to just be-bop out to Vegas, knowing that the issue had been “handled”. Big surprise to him when the SHTF anyhow.

Hillary came out and read a line from her job description. Everybody already knew she was responsible for embassy security. It’s like she came out and said, “My name is Hillary Clinton.” How is that going to hurt her? She didn’t take some noble fall to save Obama. They’re both just stalling trying to get through the election.
Hillary and Obama fostered and supported the fighting in Libya. They did an incompetent job of it and some anti-aircraft missiles got away and we don’t have control of them. Some bad people may have control of them. This is about Obama and Hillary trying to coverup their incompetence. Again, why would they risk kidnapping an Ambassador for an October surprise? I’m starting to think that the people saying that’s the only plausible explanation are just Democrats muddying the water.

She said, "I take responsibility." Heard her say it myself. And what does she get? Fired? No. Jail time? No. Instead, she gets compensated handsomely.

Some say the phrase "I take responsibility" is meaningless nowadays if you're a high ranking democrat. Not true. It means you're about to get handsomely paid.

Her plans to be president went up in flames on 9/11/12.
If she runs in 2016, there will be endless superpac ads of the dying ambassador, the bloody handprints, and the mobs with the subtitle that she denied the request for additional security.
