The last two days while watching Fox in the evening, I have seen an ad for Obama. The ad has run a number of times. It basically say Romney has shipped all the jobs to china. Im trying to figure out why is Obama spending money in California?
Trying to make it a respectable defeat?
Part of a national ad buy. Obummer will not lose CA. However, if he drives up the number of people in CA or TX who say they are voting for him, then guess what? Obama’s poll numbers go up and it appears that he is the come-back kid and suddenly has momentum.
California is a safe 50+ electoral votes for him. However, Obama’s handlers know that in a tight race, the implications of a popular vote win coupled with a contestable few electoral votes, say in Ohio, do wonders for a court and public sentiment challenge.
He is, rightly so, worried that his popular vote win in California won’t be as perfunctory as his electoral vote win. He’s in TROUBLE, and he knows it (well, his handlers anyway).
I’m trying to figure out how Romney can ship the jobs overseas, myself.
I didn’t know he was THAT powerful!
We are seeing obama ads on the local Santa Barbara, stations.
The Newspress published a story about a poll that had obama going from 25 points ahead to 9 points.
Maybe he is panicking.
I’m being generous. This isn’t 2008. He’ll be lucky if he breaks 15+.
Uh, oh.... When Romney starts running ads, it’s over.
The popular vote play makes sense. ala Gore crying to the courts. Though I think this might make some sense.
“Among Independents, Obama led by 14 in September, but now trails by 9 in October, a 23-point right turn among the most coveted voters.”
Do you think Obama could afford a national news story that CA may be coming into play? No. So if those numbers are accurate, he must prevent that story from emerging. It would be a disasterous perception.
I think it will be a lot closer this time around
Excessive government has driven jobs overseas.
Others have said it, I’ll say it too: This looks like a national Network ad buy, not local to CA.
We saw one poll lately that says he is up only 8% in Cali.
The coming tsunami will be reflected in Cali.
California, like most of the big Blue states, sends more money to the feds than it gets back. Illinois, another state on the spiral down financially, also keeps cutting off its nose to spite its face by electing RATs. The Disaster did send us 180 million for a prison we can’t run and the feds don’t need. He can’t find a few millions to buy some actual security in Libya but he can help his ole buddy Gov. Quinn.
they cant ALL be that stupid
Your kidding right?? Obama could announce a plan to nuke the San Andreas Fault to cause an earthquake and sink California into the sea to raise Nevada propert values.(Lex Luthor Style) California would still vote for Obama!
No, this is just a smallish local paper.
They have endorsed Romney and every Republican down the ticket, their enforcement was short and sweet - we can’t afford another four years of obama.
I live in SoCal and have been telling people for weeks on this forum that I have seen Non stop Obama Ads..they have tapered off a little bit but yes I am seeing them sprout up again..was watching the USA Network last night and saw an Obama Ad, had to change the channel because the sound of his voice makes me ill..it was the same Obama Ad I have been seeing for a while now, starting with “I’m Barack Obama and I approve this message.” From the polls I have seen here locally, Obama is still up..but Romney has a HUGE lead amongst Independents in this state..but unfortunately because San Francisco and LA is so liberal it won’t matter..but it did put a smile on my face on Sunday being in Encino I saw my very first Romney sticker on someone’s car..it was nice to see
Exactly. The NY Times just had a story on how Romney’s team was paying up to four times as much for ads and missing out on national savings, presumably to benefit Stewart Stevens and his ad buyer.
Yes it’s all about money. CA is a major source of campaign donations, and it could be that Obama is running out of money. So he spends money running ads in the hope that they’ll help generate more revenue than what they cost.
My first thought as well. "Man of the people" and all that rot.
