Obama running ads in California

Posted on 10/16/2012 11:12:44 AM PDT by deek69

The last two days while watching Fox in the evening, I have seen an ad for Obama. The ad has run a number of times. It basically say Romney has shipped all the jobs to china. Im trying to figure out why is Obama spending money in California?

We are seeing obama ads on the local Santa Barbara, stations. The Newspress published a story about a poll that had obama going from 25 points ahead to 9 points. Maybe he is panicking.

I guess rich people think they already think they pay enough in taxes. Can you imagine the conversations upper-middle and upper income level people are having with their accountants?

As for the political ads, my personal opinion is the guy who invented the remote control should be have a national monument dedicated to him!

10+? In 2008 Obama won by 24 points. He will win by at least 20 this time around.

While he'll certainly carry San Fran, LA, and Sacramento by huge margins, judging by local comments, he's lost a lot of his 2008 support outside of the metro areas.

I hope Romney doesn’t get sucked into this ridiculous trap and start wasting money in Hopelessfornia.

Obama has a lot of big money donors in California.
He has to show them what their money is doing.

Obama is also running ads in Connecticut, I suspect for the same reason. There are no Romney ads in Connecticut.

According to Fox, zeros lead is narrowing.

Don't let them kid you. Romney could have a 20% point lead and they would claim it's too close to call. WHY?

The BIGGER the audience numbers they can build the MORE they charge for those many, many commercial breaks.

Like a well staged WWE event... "keep the show going and build to a climax."

Like him or not, Rupert Murdoch is in business to make MONEY not friends.

Hum. Santa Barbara, gives the impression it is all rich people, its not.
My guess everyone is talking to anyone who will listen about their taxes.
I do get your point though. I guess we could say the weather makes us rich, that however doesn’t translate to paying the grocery bill. ;-)
Fortunately my husband has a good job (at 36 years now) he loves, I gave up looking about two years ago after looking for two (was laid off), and we just cut corners (glad the beach is free).

Excellent reply!!

It could be a national ad or ...

it could be because, at this point, the Obama people are a lot more confident about winning the Electoral College than winning the popular vote. That’s largely because they think the auto bailout gives them a lock on Ohio.

So, FWIW, i think they might be trying to reduce their losing margin on the popular vote, or perhaps reduce their chances of losing the popular vote.

In Hollywood, the studios spend a small fortune advertising their movies on billboards close to the studio. Why? Because the people funding the films like to feel good about themselves. The advertising is their personal affirmation.

Obama is advertising in California for the same reason. He needs all the trust-fund millionaire lefties that fund his campaign to feel good about themselves and their unearned wealth. Every time an Obama commercial airs, they get a tingle up their legs.

Obama’s internal polls must be worse than I imagined. If he thinks California is in play, his gig is up. There should be enough gays in California to push him over the top.

Do you think Obama could afford a national news story that CA may be coming into play? No. So if those numbers are accurate, he must prevent that story from emerging. It would be a disasterous perception.

HEY EVERYBODY! OBAMA IS ADVERTISING IN CALIFORNA!!!!!

Obama will carry it by more 10+ points.

10+? In 2008 Obama won by 24 points. He will win by at least 20 this time around.

Given its Kalifornia and that state always comes up with creative ways not deal with issues, 0 should win by 110%...0 just needs to do that in the other 51-57 states. Clear path to victory. Do we know what those other states names are? On Freeper layed claim to one herself last month.

The ads?........
