The winner of tonight's debate is the American People. This was a great political fist-fight, and it had lots of substance and contrast. This debate had something for everyone; neither candidate truly hurt themselves, however the President once again lied to the American people and Romney let him off the hook on the Libya issue and this could still be a powerful secondary issue that will hurt Obama.
The debate had great jabs both ways and I think Romney missed a few more chances turn the heat up on Obama, but on the most important issue that most people use as the deciding factor of who they vote for, the economy and Romney cleaned the President's clock by detailing how badly the President's policies have hurt the American people.
I think Candy Crowley clearly showed her partisan favor of Obama by defending him to Romney on the Libya issue.
I think that with the situation he was faced with (a biased moderator and a juiced-up Obama), Romney did especially well. I think he hit Obama pretty hard as he could on Lybia without that fat pig butting in. But he got out the economic and social points he NEEDED to make in this debate, esp. healthcare and gun rights. But the next and final debate will be all foreign pilicy, so I think Romney can really hit the walkoff homer if he does his homework and thinks 2 steps ahead of Obama.
the whole thing was a biased liberal setting. The questions, the voters, the moderator. 40 liberals and the GOP nominee in an auditorium. How’d he get out in one piece?
If ya hafta do these things, hold them in a normal place, in the hearland, not on Long Island.
Romney didn’t let Bankrupt Barry off the hook.
In fact, he was interrupted by Candy Azz and she inserted herself into the conversation “to correct” Romney and then tossed it to Obama.
That Was Off The Hook!!!! Fo Shizzle!!!
Great points, especially on the economics.
