Energized by debate, Obama knocks Romney on women's issues

President Barack Obama bounced off a strong debate performance to target women voters on Wednesday with a dig at Republican Mitt Romney's comment that he received "binders full of women" for cabinet jobs when he was governor of Massachusetts.

Obama and Romney are eager to win over women in swing states such as Iowa and Ohio, where the Democratic incumbent was campaigning a day after his energetic debating rejuvenated his re-election campaign.

"I've got to tell you, we don't have to collect a bunch of binders to find qualified, talented driven young women ready to learn and teach in these fields right now," he said. "And when young women graduate, they should get equal pay for equal work."

Obama also hammered Romney for wanting to cut funding to Planned Parenthood, a women's health organization.

With his sleeves rolled up and his tie loosened, Obama seemed energized by his own debate performance, which the campaign hopes will erase memories of his listless appearance in the first debate that gave a bounce to challenger Romney in opinion surveys.

Romney might remind everyone that the women in Obama’s admin were paid less and two of them, Anita Dunn and another woman, left complaining about the “hostile” workplace in Obama’s WH.

Why didn’t Romney bring up the fact that in the O administration, women make an average of $11K less than men....in spite of his beloved “Lily Ledbetter Equal Pay Law” that he touted again last night? He is such a hypocrite that Romney ought to be well-prepared to challenge everything he says.

I wholeheartedly hope AP/Reuters/etc and Obama camp CONTINUE this ‘war on women’ strategy.

It was shown lately women break for Romney despite the drum beat of WOW for months.

Keep it up, and it will turn off even more women voters.

The media is a joke.

Romney won on the economy by about 30. And the debt/deficit by about 50. But Obama has a “strong” showing? LOL!

If Obama is campaigning on ‘women’s issues’ the day after a debate about the economy and foreign policy, he is still losing. If he had any clear victory on the issues that matter, he’d be focused on those. Instead he turns back to the tried and true ‘war on women’ that has been ineffective all year.

With his sleeves rolled up and his tie loosened, Obama seemed energized now that his responses had been loaded into the teleprompter.

What ARE these women’s issues these leftwing broads speak of? I can’t relate, because I’ve never had a “women’s issue” in my life.

If I want birth control I will pay for it myself; it wouldn’t occur to me to screech for others to pay. I’m not getting pregnant every year by a different guy, and most importantly, I’m not into murder, so abortion is a non-issue for me. I’ve experienced “sexual harassment” at work, if you want to call it that, but I took care of it myself by confronting the guy and reading him the riot act, and we got along fine afterward. I never thought of playing the victim and running to NOW to complain about those terrible men, or bringing a lawsuit, etc.

So just who ARE these women who vote on the basis of their gender, and why does being female seem to make them perpetually bedeviled in life? I have no patience with this nonsense.

and how many of those women did Willard hire for top jobs in his MASS gov administration ???

and how many women for top jobs in his Bain company ???

and how many women in top jobs for the Olympics ???

and how many women when he was the bishop and stake president in Boston those 10 years did president Romney “call” to top jobs ???

In Mormonism a “stake president” is equal to an archbishop and is over several “ward houses”

he gets called “president”

and how many women “president/prophets” has Willard insisted on forthe top job in Mormonism ???

or the “1st presidency” (the top THREE jobs)

or the 12 “apostles”

or the “seventy”

any top jobs at all ???

CRICKETS

and yet back in the 1994 debate Willard boasted to Ted Kennedy that he had “broken the glass ceiling” for women’s employment...

Isn’t it a little sexist of the left to assume that women only care about abortion as if that its all they are good for

I loved what Ann Coulter said:

"Ted Kennedy has the only confirmed kill in the war on women".
