This was Crowley the journalist, unlike the pro-Obama advocate who moderated Tuesday's debate between Obama and Mitt Romney and interjected herself into an argument between Obama and Romney on the exact same issue -- and took Obama's side.
During the debate, Crowley affirmed Obama's assertion that he referred to the Benghazi attacks as acts of terror on the day after.
After Romney correctly said it took Obama 14 days before Obama said the the Benghazi attacks were acts of terror, Crowley took Obama's side -- to an ovation from the town hall audience -- and she proclaimed Obama had indeed claimed the Benghazi attacks were acts of terror the day after the attacks in the White House Rose Garden.
On September 12, the day after the attacks, Obama did say the words "acts of terror" but he was not referring to the attacks that killed U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens.
Crowley knew that on September 30 and she conceded it again hours after the debate when she went on CNN and said while Romney "was right in the main, but he just chose the wrong word." But the damage had already been done.
With Obama's reelection on the line, Crowley seemed to have conveniently forgotten the facts she knew two weeks before when she grilled Axelrod in a way she should have Obama.

When Obama was cornered last night her liberal instincts kicked in and she jumped to his defense. Journalistic malpractice at the very least.
For these Lefty moderators hosting a debate is election day, where they cast their ballot for Obama for all the world to see. We got to see Candy get it done last night.
Shame on her for blowing up Romney’s fully accurate point, ripping his assertion right out of his hands in a shocking interruption that highjacked the most important exchange of the debate, to hand the point to buhhroc.
In the moment, I think Romney’s head was spinning about what just happened, with Candy overtalking him, Obama howling, and then boom, she moves on to end the debate. Outrageous.

Mitt Romney can and will revisit Benghazi this coming Monday’s debate which is billed as being devoted to foreign policy. So, let not your heart be troubled

Suppose, just suppose, that Crowley was right and Obama DID call the attack on the consulate in Benghazi a terror attack (and forget the bias and the fact that a moderator has no business talking except to ask questions or to tell someone that time is up - it doesn’t matter here). OK, so how does that help Obama?
Yes, really, how does him having called this for what it was the day after the attack help him? After all, his Press Secretary, campaign manager, UN Ambassador and Secretary of State then proceeded - on multiple occasions each - to claim that it was a spontaneous demonstration (shades of “Don’t Drink the Water” with Jackie Gleason) and that the blame was to be placed squarely on the YouTube trailer in question. IOW, they lied. Oh, and Bathhouse Barry HIMSELF repeated this LIE 6 or so times in front of the UN General Assembly (and, thus, the entire world) about 2 weeks later. Either he’s a complete moron, or he’s a lying sack of shit who thinks that WE are all morons for believing him. Choose, Barry, which is it - you’re a moron, or you’re a contemptuous liar. There is NO OTHER CHOICE.
Now, of course, if he didn’t say this because they “didn’t know” (which, it turns out, is a big, steaming lie), then why on Earth did he and all of his lackeys blame the video? CLEARLY it was for political purposes - to make it seem as if AQ had no involvement, so as to make Obama’s policies seem successful.

Romney knew this was a setup when Obama called for the transcript, and she immediately produced it with full recall supporting his claim.
Mitt also knew time was running out , so to me he did the wise thing at this point with the “ why the delay “ question

Crowley just looks worse and worse. She should have stayed out of the debate, but I guess she just couldn’t help herself.
The whole thing was a set up between Crowley and the Obama campaign.
Tragically, Romney took the only bad path possible: jumping on the word “terror.”
Think how much differently this day would have been had Romney gone down the Susan Rice path a week later etc etc. Downballot Dems would be abandoning Obama and his money would dry up.
It is tragic and heartbreaking because the forces of Satan really pulled out a dirty win. I am sure that Mitt will remedy this error on Monday night.
Why do Republicans participate in these rigged “debates?”
