Cain dropped out for loaning a friend money without telling his wife. At the time, he also stated to followers that the death threats on his grandchildren made it not worth continuing. There was nothing in the way of proof. I wish he had sued for slander. Had he been vindicated, it would have crippled this tactic.

I will say this, one thing I have liked about Romney is they seem to really be organized and have a good operation and plans. I suspect they have tried to account for every dem tactic, and if there were anything that could be used, they’ve developed a counter.
