Sunni leader calls Russia ‘Enemy Number One’
Voice of Russia ^ | Oct 18, 2012 | Avigdor Eskin

“Brothers, Moscow has become the enemy of Islam and of Muslims these days. It has become the number one enemy of Islam and Muslims”.

Sheikh Yousuf Al-Qaradawi is the Sunni’s most respected theological authority. He is also the sole spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and the rest of the world.

Also a spiritual leader of the Hamas movement, he encouraged suicide bombings.

Amit Assa, a former Colonel in the Israeli Security Service (Shabak) told the Voice of Russia: “Such declarations of animosity will be understood by Al-Qaeda, Muslim brothers and other radical organizations as a theological permit to attack Russians around the world. There is no need for a direct call ‘to kill Russians’. They have their codes and without any doubt the declaration of ‘enemy number one’ is one of them”.

Here is the (must see) (10/12/12) video of Sheikh Yousuf Al-Qaradawi issuing his fatwa against Russia:

This is a remarkable change of posture by radical islamists. America has fallen to 4th place on the enemies of Islam list behind Russia, Iran, and Israel.

Obama negotiated the Gitmo releases through Al-Qaradawi to the Taliban. That and Obama's support for the Muslim Brotherhood is also a part of this realignment. Strange company, Putin: learn to duck.

The Russkies don’t worry about minor things like “Rule of Law” and “Political Correctness”. My guess is that, after a few of these Sunni leaders get whacked, along with their entire families, they’ll be back to calling America “The Great Satan”.

I guess we're not No. 1 anymore, since we got our muzzie Caliph, Hussein 0bama, to run things. It will be interesting to sit back and see how the russians deal with the muzzie ragheads. Hint: Brute force is all the muzzies understand and Political Correctness does not exist in the ruskie mind, so pass the popcorn!

IIRC, some Sand Savages with delusions of grandeur once (note the word “once) kidnapped some Russians in Beruit.

The response was such that the Sand Savages decided that there was someone more cruel, more savage, and smarter than they were.

I presume this is about Russia’s support for Assad in Syria.

Assad is aligned with another Russian ally, Iran.

In other words, Russia is currently seen as being allied with the Shiite terrorists against the Sunni terrorists. They are all that stands against the downfall of the Assad regime.

There’s really no pleasing these guys.

Obama will probably hold a press conference today to take the credit. :)

The Russians have a different set of rules of engagement.
This Muzzie’s gonna get his ass handed to him if he doesn’t tone it down a bit.

The Russians have several Islamic “republics” on their borders and of course Chechnya inside their borders. They will have no compunctions about ruthless behavior towards militant Islamists as Chechnya proved. Putin became very popular because of his actions dealing with Chechnya.

We had 9/11 and the Russians had Beslan. Russians have a long memory, they are not distracted by "American Idol" or the "Super Bowl".

The Sunni cleric’s words simply reinforce what the whole deal going on in Syria is really all about - a proxy war between the two fundamentalist radical extremes of Islam, the Sunni with connections to the Wahabi of Saudi Arabia and the Muslim Brotherhood versus the Shia clerics of Iran; it’s merely part of the global contest for supremacy within Islam, the dictator in Syria is an excuse and the people of Syria are pawns.

The best thing for the world will be a big reset button at the White House next January, with a president Romney who would join with the Russian mobster Putin to jointly wear antagonism with Islamists as a badge of honor.

Assad is a horrible dictator, but there are zero real allies of the U.S. in the leadership of the opposition, which is primarily funded and organized outside Syria and with most of the ground operations of the “rebels” organized by the Saudis, the Muslim Brotherhood in Syria and guns-for-hire terrorists.

Good points. I agree that the Shia-Sunni conflict is the driver of Mid-east tension.

It is disappointing that the media continues to drive the theme that Israel and and the West are the great oppressors of muslims.

Muslims extremists kill and dominate muslims, they are their own worst enemy. But every insult is directed elsewhere away from islam.

The Russkies don’t worry about minor things like “Rule of Law” and “Political Correctness”.

According to Bob Woodward, Bill Casey told the story of a couple of Russian diplomats who were kidnapped in Lebanon. Two cousins of the ring leaders were found dead, with their penises sowed into their mouths. The Russians diplomats were promptly freed. As Casey put it, "The Russians speak Hezbollah's language."

IIRC, wasn't it back in the 1970's/1980's where a KGB agent was taken hostage by some muzzies and the KGB responded by cutting off a finger of a muzzie hostage they had and sending it to them? I believe the muzzies released the agent soon after.

“I presume this is about Russia’s support for Assad in Syria.”

I’m not sure, but I’d bet it’s about Russia declaring no more new mosques to be built in Russia.

I think we lost a lot of opportunities to work with the Russians in the 1990's and we have paid for it but maybe this could be a way to do it.

As bad as they were, Assad, Kadaffy and even Saddam Hussein (looking back I am beginning to think Iraq was a mistake), we were better off with them, at least they kept their radicals under control, now we are worse off. Nature abhores a vacuum.
