"It is Gallup that has the power, not Obama and his minions".

Your post is excellent. The analysis of what Gallup is up to these last two weeks is spot on.

Ah, how I love the sound of galluping off in the distance right now.

I’ll give that a try. Rass is weighting Dems up 2 to 4 points. And adjusting calls to those weights. (Even though Rass’s own surveys show the GOP with higher party ID than the Dems.) Gallup is calling likely voters in far greater numbers and takes what people say as their ID as the real party allocation. So, Rass is temping down the potential surge while Gallup is capturing it. That’s at least my theory. Maybe someone else can do better.

That makes sense as a possible explanation. Frank Newport of Gallup was saying that Gallup doesn't weigh responses by party, and if you take a good enough sample, the sample should show party identification; you don't change the sample to reflect perceived identification; take a good enough sample and it shows current party identification.

But the media said that Obama wont the debate. LOL. Where’s the communist Obama’s bump? LOL.

Obama is killing coal , oil, etc. and private companies. Just if we allowed the private sector to develop the U.S.’s unlimited coal, oil, natural gas, oil shale etc. just if the government and EPA got out of the way , energy would be the cheapest in the world for U.S. companies who could then outcompete China and other countries.

This POS Obama has closed 204 coal plants,
and done millions of other crimes,
piled on 11,000 new pages of federal regulations on business, and 13,000 pages more government regulations from obamacare coming,
did many unlawful executive orders,
6 trillion in new Obama federal debt etc.

you Obama get out of the United States you crimimal, marxist, muslim socialist Obama.

I do not believe tomorrow night's final debate will have much material impact on the race.

I pretty much agree with you. A major gaffe or meltdown by either candidate will definitely resonate.

Romney cannot play "prevent defense". I believe he still needs to be on the offense. He's the one selling a new plan, a new direction. IOW, he needs to keep selling it.

Obama is down, so he's going to try to attack.

We aren’t going to get 60, but since Reid changed the rules to pass Obamacare, going to simple majority vote, we can do likewise to end it.

That is not the point, it still takes 60 to get a vote to vote ( cloture ) for all new important legislation, unless McConnell and or his replacement have the cohones to change cloture.... The shananigan's Reid pulled was attaching Obamacare to another bill, so it can be repealed with 51.

Not sure I understood what you meant..I was just saying that I am worried Gallup will cave with other pollsters when push comes to shove in final stretch.

I am talking lies, by MSM pollsters, including Fox Liberal pollsters

Am hoping/praying I am wrong, normally they all circle the wagons, we see this in the NBC/WSJ poll even today...Why WSJ has anything to do with NBC,is beyond me

As I said, since Reid changed the rules on cloture, we will be able to do so as well.

Cloture is simply a 'gentlemen's agreement' that neither Party wanted to mess with since it could come back to bite them when they are in the minority.

Reid changed the rules to allow majority votes that didn't need cloture to stop Republicans from blocking the votes.

We can do the same now.

I am wondering about something posted after the last election.

In what I had previously read, some states were going to give all their electoral votes to the candidate with the highest popular vote.

If that is true then Romney will gain even more electoral votes.

If I recall correctly, California was one of the states wanting to change how their electoral votes are awarded.

Speaking of the electoral votes, each state is allowed to award or split their votes however they wanted. Some states giving ALL of their vote to the winning party in their state while some states split it between the two candidates based upon some previously determined basis.

I would imagine that whoever wins the national popular vote could be as justified as either method currently in use.

I believe that those states wanting to change their election rules were Democratic states, not GOP states and their intent was to give their candidate more electoral votes than they would have gotten with the states votes being awarded based upon the vote totals for that state.

It would be hilarious if California was one of those states and their election laws required them to give all their votes to the popular vote winner and Romney wound up being the popular vote winner.

Obamas BEST day is a 42-43% IMHO, and I really think odds are he’ll underperform that.

Always have.

Perhaps the Romney campaign is telling Hannity to shut up. Romney is a very smart man, he is running a very strategic campaign, he is in this to win this. McCain showed no leadership at all, I just couldn’t shake the feeling that the Reverend Wright story was just a distraction, and showed more how McCain had no strategy or leadership skills, McCain should have told Hannity to shut up. Cause that story went no where, and it was a big distraction. Didn’t slow down Obama one bit, but a lot of time was spent on that story, that was useless and still is. Most people already understand the underbelly of black racisim, the story was being ingnored, because people ignore that everyday in the work place. The story was detrimental and McCain lost cause he had no strategy or leadership skills.

“Actually I have a theory that Rasmussen is waiting for the final debate to reduce his “positive D” sample”

Exactly, they’re all businessmen FIRST. This race has never been close, tight or otherwise. And they all knew it. Creating the narrative doesn’t makes it so. I put the pollsters in the very same category as the old media. Finished.
