Of course they can by done by people — in broad daylight with unlimited time like this one was and with no need to conceal the ingress/egress. The problem is that some have mysteriously occurred with no damage to crops in the surrounding area, during a few hours of darkness at the most, much more elaborate and intricate, and with mysterious lights moving over the field (videotaped). I think a lot of things are capable of happening in our universe that don’t fit into our belief system (but of which God knows every detail).
