White House knew al Qaeda-linked group claimed responsibility for deadly Libya ...TWO HOURS later

Officials at the White House and State Department were alerted two hours after attackers stormed the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11 that an Islamic militant group had claimed credit for the assault, emails show.

The emails, obtained by Reuters from government sources not connected with U.S. spy agencies or the State Department and who requested anonymity, specifically mention that the Libyan group called Ansar al-Sharia had asserted responsibility for the attacks.

The brief missives also show how U.S. diplomats described the attack, even as it was still under way, to Washington.

It makes me wonder what else he’s been up to.

Highly disappointed in Patraeus, but he’s a general...being political is what they do.

There was a time when one could trust them, and I suspect we can still trust most of them.

Just not the one’s with political appointments.

I chose it because this way, every time I make a post, I am making fun of his ears in a roundabout way. heeeheee

There's too much smugness about this Benghazi story...too much that doesn't add up - like it's tied to an October Surprise - one we won't recover from ... well, in time.

"Meet the Press" some months ago came up with a chart on unemployment that made Obama look bad - and it didn't add up the same way. NBC is deep in the tank for Obama and they would NOT showcase something to make him look bad. I made several comments about it at the time... Sure enough a few months later the 'surprise' - unemployment was down... yeah, right. This Benghazi thing has some of the same 'feel'.

The right insiders are NOT talking - Romney kinda gave him a pass on the issue ( as if he'd been briefed ) The lies when it first happened were so obvious - we figured it out. Then those on the outside (retired) came forward and backed us up... And still -nothing from any insider? Either this is the most vile Administration in the history of the Unite States or the whole Benghazi thing is a set up to make Obama and Hillary look like heroes long enough to get him past the election. Or both... but it feels funny. Can't quite put my finger on it. Anyone?
