PALM BEACH, Fla. – New information suggesting the Obama administration was fully aware of the terror attack at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, within two hours of the breakout of violence is being blasted as a cover-up of major proportions, with the help of national media who are ignoring the revelation.
“This dwarfs Watergate, weapons of mass destruction, whatever,” said radio host Rush Limbaugh Wednesday afternoon.
“This dwarfs Iran-Contra, about which the media spent three solid years trying to take out Ronald Reagan. The latest shoe to drop in the Benghazi disaster is the news that the State Department was e-mailing about the attack on the consulate and the terrorists who they thought were behind it within two hours, and the e-mails went to the Situation Room of the White House. Obama knew.”
For weeks after the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi, Obama and his surrogates proffered that the violence was merely an improptu response to an anti-Muslim video.
But reports today from several agencies including Reuters and CBS News reveal the administration knew precisely what was going on almost immediately, courtesy of emails.
Sharyl Attkisson at CBS says: “At 4:05 p.m. Eastern time, on September 11, an alert from the State Department Operations Center was issued to a number government and intelligence agencies. Included were the White House Situation Room, the office of the Director of National Intelligence, and the FBI.
“‘US Diplomatic Mission in Benghazi Under Attack” — “approximately 20 armed people fired shots; explosions have been heard as well. Ambassador Stevens, who is currently in Benghazi, and four COM (Chief of Mission/embassy) personnel are in the compound safe haven.’”
And Reuters reports the emails specifically mention the Libyan group called Ansar al-Sharia had asserted responsibility for the attacks.

I just watched/listened to the Obama UN speech on Sept 25, 2012. He absolutely and repeatedly refers to a root cause of the violence in Benghazi being the video slandering the prophet of islam.
He does it from the 13 minute mark through the 21 minute mark in the 30 minute speech. The key quote is at 20:36.

I'd vehemently disagree. Fast & Furious is, on its face, State-Sponsored Terrorism being perpetrated on Mexico by our government, aside from that also violation of treaty w/ Mexico and unauthorized acts of war.
Fast & Furious is also, arguably, Treason. (All one has to do is prove that the Drug Cartels are enemies of the States and the whole operation becomes that of providing aid [as arms] and comfort [in lack of prosecution] to said enemies.)
Obama could be telling the truth about Al Quida being ‘decimated’ because the true meaning of “decimated’ is ONE - IN - TEN. ...... not the 85-90% wipeout that people think it means.
AND using the true meaning of “decimated”, that 10% reduction in al queda would have been done by their OWN forces.
Now, what do we do to fix it? Let the Congressional wheels turn for the next 5-6 years? Assuming we take both Houses of Congress and the WH... What are the odds there would be any political tide to carry Treason charges forth?

The MSM has to decide. If they report this story properly Obama will undoubtedly lose the election. If they don’t report it properly . . . then what? When they decide there might be something worse in store for them than a Romney administration it will be all over. Maybe it will happen when they figure out Obama is probably going to lose anyway.
I agree with you that there should be prosecutions for treason, but don't count on anything being done. Even if the GOP wins everything, I doubt that it will be seriously pursued. After all, look at Fast and Furious!
We here in FR are "fanatics" compared to the general population. We know that just because we ignore government in no way guarantees government will ignore us. We take the time to be informed and to know what is going on...
No one will really care until it disrupts their every day lives. Benghazi is literally, for them, a world away...

Actually, both things are linked. Both are gun-running escapades gone wrong. Stevens was gun-running arms for the Muslim Brotherhood, a fact I believe personally, was Obama’s reason for inaction. He let Stevens and the 3 special ops vets die so that no one would testify to questions by Congress about what they were doing there to begin with. This is Fast & Furious on steroids. The Muslim Brotherhood being armed by us? You know we’ll at some time in the near future see these arms used against us here in America.

I think Issa is legit. I also think 90% of the Republicans in the House & Senate wish he would suffer a massive heart attack.
