Ted Turner was on with Piers Morgan last night.
He said, “I think it’s good U.S. troops are killing themselves.”

TURNER: It’s time to put war and conflict behind us and move on, and start acting like civilized, educated human beings.
MORGAN: You made the point to me in the break there, more American servicemen have –
TURNER: — are dying now from suicide over there than are dying in combat.
MORGAN: That’s shocking, isn’t it?
TURNER: Well, what — no, I think it’s — I think it’s good, because it’s so clear that we’re programmed and we’re born to love and help each other, not to kill each other, to destroy each other. That’s an aberration. That’s left over from hundreds of years ago. It’s time for to us start acting enlightened.
Some fine day we will wake up to the happy news that Ted Turner has killed himself.
Change the party of the president in power, and the story changes. The only reason this a$$whole said what he did is that there is a democrat in the White House.

I believe the increased suicide rate is directly related to the illogical rules of engagement and the kid gloves that terrorists have to be treated with.
Just the latest in a long line of stupid things Ted had said. Won’t be the last.
Oddly enough, we’re seeing more with service members who have NOT deployed.

Since Ted is so ‘enlightened’ and full of love and help, I think he should be our next ambassador to Libya. He could teach those folks to be just like him.

One more thing...in 1998 the Braves played the San Diego Padres for a chance to go to the world series. I lived in San Diego area at the time and watched the games on TV. I remember vividly at one point during the game (it was in SD) the Braves scored and the camera went to Ted and Jane who were in the crowd.
He stood up and took off his baseball cap and was rubbing it in the face of the Padre fans.........the funniest thing was when the Padres beat the Braves Ted and Jane (the camera caught them as they left) were leaving and didn’t look a bit happy.....It was a great moment and heck quite the good memory too!

Ohhh yes. And, he can take his equally as dumb @ssed ex-wife Jane with him. They can get some pointers on how to get along over their from their friend Obama.
