On Monday of this week, Democrats in North Carolina clearly violated North Carolina state law in their efforts to turn out the vote for Barack Obama.
At roughly 10 a.m., two vans of students who worked at the North Carolina Jobs Corps location in Oconoluftee were transported from that location to the Swain County Board of Education one-stop voting location in order to cast their votes. The vans used to carry the passengers were Job Corps vans driven by Danny Muse, the son of O’neal Muse, a Democrat Swain County Board of education election official.
North Carolina law specifies that it is illegal to use Swain County Transit Vehicles, which are funded by the federal government, to transport voters to polling places. The Hatch Act clearly states that federal employees who work off-duty in partisan activities “May not engage in political activity while using a government vehicle.”

This is another problem with early voting...they have a lot more time to cheat, and unlike on election day, nobody is watching.
Everyone out there who has a few hours to spare needs to watch out for this stuff, capture audio/video of this activity if possible, and report it immediately.
We can also send any reports like this to other election boards all across the county so they can be warned that people are watching and be put on notice that they need to prevent this from happening.

This small city has a historically black university. In 2008 the Obama campaign office, manned primarily by the local NAACP chapter, made no secret of transporting students to vote early - lots of them. I have heard they have devised ways to register to vote a second time (home and school) by reversing their first and middle names so the state will not pick up a multiple registration.
Not to worry. The UN observers will make things right (/SARC)

With all the cell phones out there, people should be taping or taking photos of all of these violations and demanding prosecution. Follow them out and copy their license plate numbers.

Both parties plus candidates may appoint poll watchers for early voting. My husband was a county chair and we had poll watchers at every polling place during early voting.
