Well, I suppose that they are knee-jerkingly kowtowing to the left, since that must be the market that would want to see Fonda disparagingly (I'm speculating) portray Nancy.

If it was a serious film, Reagan fans would most likely flock to it, but the [liberal artsy] critics would pan it out of hand without seeing it.

With Fonda, it will have a special place in minds of the anti-Reaganites and anti-Americans.
