Get this: the presidential race is so close that rich, white San Franciscans are having trouble exercising in their home gyms or getting proper sleep at night. Take, for instance, the story of Obama campaign volunteer Kay Edelman:
For the past several weeks, the 60-year-old San Francisco resident has frequently bolted awake in the middle of the night, in “a panic attack,” she said. She darts for her computer and checks the latest polls. Some days she’s so distraught that she can’t exercise.
Every morning, she gets e-mails from friends who’ve been just as sleepless. Most are so tense, they can croak out only a few words. “Very anxious.” “Worried.”
“Nothing more needs to be said,” said Edelman, a retired educational administrator.
I’m certainly not immune to worry over the election or the fate of the country, but let me pose a question for stressed-out liberals. Why do you continue to vote to make the federal government and the leaders at its helm an ever-more present and powerful part of every part of our lives when you know there’s a chance every four years a guy you won’t like will be at the helm? If it’s going to stress you out this much who has the levers of power, perhaps you should work toward making the levers less powerful?

Then shouldn’t she be more worried about who runs CALIFORNIA?? Educators’ pensions are a state responsibility. And CA is BROKE. Now, which political party runs CA? I forgot/s;)
I have never understood how a seemingly intelligent person could vote for 0bama or any liberal/progressive. Those Liberal voters are saying the same thing about Conservatives.
There are two completely different world views.
What’s odd is that their world view values “relativism” unless it conflicts with an overriding belief in the State.
I have come to believe that their “faith” in the state is seeded in their distrust of their fellow man. A distrust that stems from their own selfishness and therefore everyone, when left to their own devises, would take advantage of anybody they could. Because this is what they would do.
They fear conservatives, because they fear all the possibilities free people would have available to them.
They don’t trust free people, because they don’t trust themselves.
She’s running from a boogieman. Republicans never use those levers ruthlessly.
It's sad to see. When FoxNews projects Mitt Romney as our new president at 10pm ET next week, I'll be thinking of her and hope she won't jump out her window - or at least hope she lives on the first floor and will only sprain her ankle.

Or better yet, they can go “diversify” Africa
Not like her state will go bankrupt(cough) or that her beloved city would ever allow persons of color to live within 5 square miles of her bubble.
At 62 I'm still working at least 50 hours a week. But then I'm not a Liberal government leach.
What has Barack actually done for her? Probably very little, if anything. She’s just obsessed with her liberal politics for its own rarefied sake.

She’s worried that the “unwashed masses” will have the ability to make their own good or bad decisions.

These people are an extreme danger to America and our way of life.
Why should our military be the only ones who sacrifice their lves for this country?
I hope she lives on the 60th floor and jumps at 10 PM eastern. It’s the least she could do.
I've often thought about this every time insane laws are passed in this country. Also, when it comes to laws like Obamacare. Aren't the lawmakers taking into consideration that their family and friends are going to have to live with this draconian law for years to come? It's shocking to me that the Democrats would pass some of the most partisan legislation when another president representing the opposition will most likely be the one to enforce the policies.

That about sums it up. Also, rich white liberals tend to be more secular and they worship the state as their deity. Hence, they tend to get much angrier and more upset over their losses in elections. Just remember the hysterical reaction of the left in the 2000 election.
A few observations:
For her:
1. Kudos on staying in shape, most 60 year old women don’t look as well.
2. Kudos on becoming a millionaire on the public’s dole.
For the public:
1. What were you thinking? Why are you elevating a subset of us to millionaire status who did not earn it?
2. Don’t be surprised when this class of millionaires expand beyond those who put their lives in jeopardy (and perhaps deserve it) to most government workers.
C’mon, you need to “contribute” your cross-country skiier to the homeless!

This is a concept behind the “little L libertarian” wing of the Republican party that the big L liberals cannot seem to comprehend...
We Libertarian Republican are wary and cynical because we see the world in a realistic light, and know that not all the time will there be a “benevolent king” type figure in power. so what do we do? We work to keep the government chained down because in reality it is a like a horrible monster that the moment it has you convinced it has a big warm fuzzy belly you would like to snuggle with, and you take it’s chains off, it turns around and uses it’s newly gained freedom to eat you whole.
