In an effort to maximize the benefit of Colin Powell's recent endorsement, the Obama campaign is out with a new radio ad today touting the Republican former Secretary of State's support for the president, highlighting remarks he made in a recent interview with CBS News' Charlie Rose.
The minute-long ad, which according to the campaign will air in Florida, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Virginia, New Hampshire, Ohio, Iowa, Nevada, and Colorado, replays a clip of Powell's October 25 endorsement, which he announced on "CBS This Morning."

For Colin Powell, skin color simply matters
much, much more than Treason against the USA.

If someone endorsed romney just because he’s white they’d be called a racist.
if someone endorsed Obama just because he is black they’d be called....

"Hi, I'm Colin Powell. You might not know it from my voice, but I'm black. I'm voting for Obama because he's black. So if you're black - and even if you're not - I recommend that you also vote for Obama. Because once you go black, you can never go back."

The point is to highlight Obama’s bipartisanship, I suppose.
Heh, not going to fool anybody at this point.
Based on his previous four year, is there any doubt how Obama is going to LORD all over us in his imaginary 2nd term?

Many years ago I actually liked this guy....clearly, it is about race for him because we all who know and care about our military know when a Democrat is in the White House the military always loses.......

The “optics” here are interesting, IMO.
Colin Powell is black, and yet, you can see right through him. :-)

No kidding! Once upon a time, it was big enough for Powell, Andrew Sullivan, AND Meghan McCain’s boobs!
Now THAT is a big tent!
Frankly I’m happy they’re all gone and we can downsize.

At one time, (1996 to be precise) there was very serious talk of Powell running for President against Bill Clinton. Could you imagine what a disaster this RINO would have been if he would have won?
While I'm sure race enters into the equation, I think Powell's reason for endorsing Obama have more to do with revenge. He felt the Bush administration didn't pay attention to his "moderate" pleas and used him to start the war in Iraq, then tried to saddle him with the blame when it started going bad. And then to add insult to injury they unceremoniously kicked him to the curb after the 2004 election.

Colin Powell...tribe over country.Having voted for Baraq in ‘08 is almost forgivable. After all, nobody could be *absolutely* certain that he would be a lousy president. But today there's no question that that he's the worst in many,*many* years. What little respect I had for Powell a few months ago is *gone*.In 2007 I had a fair amount of respect for Powell.Today,he can eat excrement and die for all I care.
