Bias: At an event for Hurricane Sandy victims, reporters pummel Mitt Romney to answer questions about FEMA. This is the same press corps that refuses to ask President Obama a single tough question about Benghazi.
Clearly worried about a Romney victory next week, the mainstream press apparently thinks it's found the "October surprise" Romney's alleged vulnerability on FEMA because of an answer he'd given to a debate question more than a year ago.
Here's how a pool reporter described the scene in Ohio, where Romney organized a Sandy relief effort:

The MSM is Obama’s unofficial public relations arm.
They’ve been that for years.
Bite me! You sir, don’t tell us anything we don’t already know.

Meanwhile, no one in the MSM cares about Benghazi, Zippy’s forged BC, Zippy’s socialist/communist connections, Zippy’s Social Security number, Zippy’s passport, Zippy’s strange unaccountable time when he ditches his SS protection and “escapes” from the WH, Zippy’s college grades, ......
But these same propagandists ignore Benghazi.
I wish Romney had said something like: If you want to be productive, maybe you could help us load up some of these supplies for the victims of this devastating hurricane in which over 50 people died. Or if you’re the really the tough reporter you appear to be, maybe you could go down to New Jersey and ask President Obama some really tough questions about why he let four Americans, including the Ambassador, be murdered in Benghazi.
Media decides to run with the story: "Romney is a threat to FEMA!!!!!!"
He was asked 14 times about FEMA? And the “press” is getting upset he won’t answer the question?
Uh....this is not the time to discuss FEMA and how well or not well they do their work. Yes, press...sometimes silence is the right response. Anything he says can and will be twisted, even though the answer may indeed be the right answer for our country going forward.
And while I do feel FEMA should not exist in its present form.(massive government charity arm)..it does and nothing is going to change that at this time.
Dependency on government managed charity needs to be broken. Is doing that in the middle of a major disaster the right thing to do? Of course not and it’s discussion isn’t appropriate right now either.
The role of FEMA, under Romney, will be redefined and reorganized. We all know this needs to happen, but it is a discussion for another time and place. Romney knows that and unlike 0bama, Romney is not going to use Executive Orders to create or uncreate anything without discussion with the people involved.
...under 0bama I have noticed a lot of people looking to him to basically 'make rulings,' because congress is playing games with every piece of legislation. To a degree, I think these questions from the press are an off shoot, of the elite left's high demand to basically be ruled over.
He could suggest FEMA first attend to cleaning up our media disaster.
Boy, do I hate these people!
Actually, a stat I would like to see (this is off topic of course) would be how many traffic accidents, muggings, etc were prevented by everyone in that region being indoors for the storm. I’m curious if on balance the 50 dead is more or less than that.

This post contains the essence of why I love FReepers.
Oh wait...
I remember New York media criticizing New Orleans because it built in an basin. Now we find out that parts of Manhatten was below sea level. And the good news is, we in Texas get to pay for that kind of forward thinking.

It’s sickening to see Obama preen around looking presidential and in charge. Romney is showing what a real leader looks like.
Bottom line is those who love FEMA live in the blue states hit by Sandy. They were going to vote for obama anyway. The rest of the people out here don’t like paying for the blue states’ misfortunes.
Disagree.
Barack Obama is the “political arm” of the MSM.
The MSM sets the political agenda and the terms of debate.
They are the most powerful, most passionate, and most determined Hard left political advocates in American history.
