Catherine Herridge Fox News Investigator was on Huckabee this weekend …

The reason Ambassador Stevens was in Benghazi was to try to recover some of the heavy weapons (among them Shoulder Missles). There was a Ship loaded with heavy weapons that docked in a Turkey Port 5 days before Sept 11th… Who did AMB Stevens meet with just before the attack… The Turkish Ambassador!!

http://www.independentsentinel.com/2012/10/benghazi-timeline-facts-as-we-now-know-them/

The back story to all this is that Ambassador Stevens was in Benghazi on 9/11 for a series of meetings, one was with the Turkish Ambassador. It is now believed that Ambassador Stevens was there, risking his life, to try and stop the flow of arms from Benghazi to Syria via Turkey. The arms in question are ending up in the hands of al Qaeda in Syria. There was a ship in port that week which was believed to have held arms, arms that were eventually headed for Syria’s al Qaeda forces.

The Obama administration is ‘not’ talking about what could be a …..”Syrian Fast & Furious”, which has a concerning back story:

We know that money we are giving our “allies” (Saudi Arabia for one) is going towards weapons being shipped to al Qaeda in Syria.

We (US) have armed Benghazi rebels, many of whom were al Qaeda, and the weapons are being used for slaughter.

We did not secure Gaddafi’s weapons when we conducted our illegal war in Libya. Many of those weapons are now going to Syria, according tosome reports.

Gaddafi had a massive arsenal of weapons, including chemical weapons, that were endangered by war but there seems to have been no pre-planning by our administration on how to secure the weapons because, in the end, an unknown number of weapons fell into the hands of al Qaeda.

In early September, 2011, Al-Qaeda’s north African branch had acquired a stockpile of weapons in Libya, including surface-to-air missiles that are threatening air travel, according to the EU’s counter-terrorism coordinator, Gilles de Kerchove.

Al Qaeda members of the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) have “gained access to weapons, either small arms or machine-guns, or certain surface-to-air missiles which are extremely dangerous because they pose a risk to flights over the territory,” said Gilles.

The Islamic Maghreb, AQIM, originated as an armed Islamist resistance movement to the secular Algerian government. It now operates mainly in Algeria, Mauritania, Mali and Niger, where it has attacked military targets and taken civilian hostages, particularly Europeans, some of whom it has killed.

Confirming the seizure of weapons was Chad’s President, Idriss Deby Itno, who told the African weekly Jeune Afrique in an interview that he was “100 per cent sure” of his assertion.

“The Islamists of al-Qaeda took advantage of the pillaging of arsenals in the rebel zone to acquire arms, including surface-to-air missiles, which were then smuggled into their sanctuaries in Tenere,” a desert region of the Sahara that stretches from northeast Niger to western Chad, Deby said in the interview.

“This is very serious. AQIM is becoming a genuine army, the best equipped in the region,” he said.

His claim was echoed by officials in other countries in the region who said that they were worried that al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) might have acquired “heavy weapons,” thanks to the Libyan insurrection.

We can go back in time and compare the CIA operations in Afghanistan during the early days after 9/11, where we where supplying various elements of mujahidin, with weapons in order to topple the Taliban regime in Kabul. I wonder how many CIA and some SECOPS members may have lost their lives during those early days in Afghanistan and upward during that operation.
Just a thought we should bear in mind. I'm not justifying the way the Libyan operations where being carried out as far a the gun/weapon smuggling aspects with the intent to send stuff to Al Qaeda and other rather rabid groups within the Islamaic movement, to take out the Assad regime.
The DOS position all along was only "humanitarian aid" would be provided to the Syrian victims in this civil war.
We know that was not the case.

During the cold war, there was justification for this idiocy. Iran/Contra. Mujaheddin in Afghanistan. Etc.. But the cold war is long past and there is no reason for this idiocy anymore. The Obama/Hillary onion has many layers to peel. But at the heart of the onion, they were aligning themselves with the hardcore Islamic radicals. And DC in general approved (DINO/RINO cult) until it all blew up in their faces with the attack on their covert weapons op in Libya. The RINO’s as usual will run cover for the DINO’s by blaming Libya on Al Qeada. This will give Romney Carte Blanch to try to undo some of the horrendous outcomes (Libya, Tunisa, Egypt, Syria) from this failed alignment policy.

Good info. Cross Border Authority. There is a good reason why Obama did not grant it. He knew right away that his weapons collection and transportation covert operation in Libya, that was arming his Islamic radicals in Syria, was under foreign attack. They just recently admitted that in fact the rebels in Syria they were supporting where actually Islamic radicals. Of course they act surprised now and claim they are dropping their support for that radical rebel group in Syria. The reality probably is that since their weapons covert operations in Libya were smashed, they have no game right now within Syria. Here is an article from Matt. In goes into the Turkish connection with respect to Turkey possibly being the conduit between Libya and Syria.

Interesting info about the Turks in Matt’s article above. Do we know for certain that all the Turk’s had left the compound entirely before the attack ?
