Obama is Christie's Brownie
Vanity | 11/2/12 | me

Anyone seeing Obama become Christie's Brownie right before our very eyes? Christie overtly touting Obama as doing a great job, most fantastic guy ever, blah blah blah. And the contrast of what's going on there in NJ, in particular, is stunning. Utility workers turned away because they aren't union (holy crap), no food, water or gas; no response for many of them and the desperation is starting to top the charts.

Obama and Christie will go down as huge failures on this catastrophe and it serves Christie right for touting Obama as the best thing to happen to the US right before the election.

It’s a photo op for Obama to say “See? It’s me who is the bi-partisan guy in Washington DC”

It’s Christie who participated.

I guess what I want to know is, WTF is Christie doing?? It’s almost like he’s trying to sabotage Romney with his over the top a$$ kissing of odumbo.

Obama campaigning may very well turn a loss into a rout. People are seeing a politician who is incapable of being president and who puts his campaign ahead of the nation.

The utility workers from the South and Texas are not union. If they are turned away when trying to help turn on the lights and heat, the unions ought to be stoned in the public square.

Those who spent the time and money to go all the way to NY and NJ should go to the small towns that are desperate for help. They will be welcome there. If not, they should say, “To hell with this,” and bring all their equipment home.

Isn’t it shameful that the state of Alabama (and Texas?) are spending their own money to send these workers to help in a time of huge need and they’re actually being turned away by the NJ unions???? Stunning.

Noting how FEMA, at this point, is apparently doing very little to help in NJ - Christie has covered his b*tt.

He may have been a tad over the top in embracing BO - but he got the needed PR. If he had been luke-warm - the media would have said: “Christie reluctantly asks for Obama’s help” or “Obama races to offer help to Christie in NJ - and receives a rebuff”.

The spotlight will be on FEMA and BO to do better than Katrina - not working so far.

Christie is no fool and he cares about NJ first.

Christie is a “Scott Brown” variety Republican.

He had a moment or two right after his election where he confronted the public unions in New Jersey but in truth, he had no choice in the matter - there just wasn’t the money to do what they wanted.

So he got a few minutes of union confrontation and a jab or two at the press. Other than that, he’s a Liberal through and through.

He’s got a lot in common with Schwarzenegger except his body is arranged differently.

WTF is Christie doing??

He's scared. He's afraid that Sandy will become his Katrina. He was instantly forced into re-election campaign mode for his next term after the storm hit.

Christie is no fool and he cares about NJ first.

Why did his state refuse non-union Alabama relief aid if he's putting NJ first?

I'm no Christie fan, but he DID make Obama waste a day. He also has attached Obama's face to the expected "fast" solution of the problem.

No way are hungry, pissed off people going to give Obama a pass on the inefficient, bureaucratic mess this is fast becoming. There's a lot them who haven't voted yet.

When has Christie ever supported a union.
You may need to look at Trenton for unions power.
Christie won’t anger the union thugs until the
work is done.

The man is governor of the state. This beating up on him represents narrow minded poiltical bigotry. Every action must not be viewed through a toilet paper tube looking at a political prism.

As governor, his primary task is to survey the disaster and then insure forces necessary to mitigate are marshaled. To be critical of that effort when well done is very foolish
