Clayton [Ga] landlord arrested after discovering meth in rental home
Atlanta Urinal-Constipation ^ | 11/1/12 | Christopher Seward

Posted on 11/03/2012 11:40:35 PM PDT by Slings and Arrows

A landlord and his wife were still reeling Thursday from spending two days in the Clayton County Jail this week after reporting to police that they had found bags of methamphetamine in their rental property.

-snip-

Keeley, of Lithonia, said he, his wife and their 9-year-old son had just arrived at the home around 9 a.m. Sunday when they noticed the back door open, a window broken and the home vandalized. When they went into a bathroom, they noticed holes in the wall and the vanity mirror removed.

Keeley said he looked closer and noticed eight bags in the wall, which Clayton police narcotics officers later identified as meth.

-snip-

He then immediately called the ICE agent he’d spoken to earlier. “He said, ‘I’m on my way and call 911,’” Keeley recalled Thursday. After calling 911, Keeley said he and his wife briefly left the residence.

-snip-

He said the Clayton officers began intensely interrogating him and his wife and questioning him about calls he’d made that morning, many of which Keeley said he’d made trying to reach the ICE agent.

“’Who is this person you called? Who is this person you called?” Keeley said the officers demanded to know until they “snatched my phone.”

Keeley said one agent told him, “OK, come on, guy. Tell the truth. We know no one broke into your house. You did it yourself.” Keeley said he couldn’t tell whether he was also being accused of having the drugs there.

-snip-

The entire experience has left Keeley disillusioned.

“I feel that we were violated because we put our trust in you [police] to protect us and you turned it against us,” Keeley told Channel 2, adding he will be “forever reluctant to pick up the phone and dial the police again.”

The set of people that can be classified as “the kind of thug that the goons come after” seems to be getting bigger and bigger these days.

I read your tagline and simply shake my head.

To the same degree that the US is socialist, the state’s agents are thugs and wannabe commissars.

Why haven’t you noticed this?

Why do you support these union brutes in their high-handed acts against citizens?

Love or money would be my guesses.

“IMO, the cops decided the landlord was guilty without looking at the evidence, thought they could force a confession from him”

Cops and prosecutors always feel that a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, regardless of the actual innocence of the former.

My god! This thread is full of cop-hating morons. See a thread and you beat each other to the front of the line to be the first to show how criminal your empty lives truly are.

What are you all so afraid of? What are you hiding that you don’t want law abiding society to see? How many times have you had your butts kicked by police for trying to flee after being busted? Hole up in your bunkers, boys! The cops are coming!

IDIOTS!

All you need as evidence is any FR thread that mentions the police. They crawl from beneath their feces encrusted rocks and come running to be the first to post how advise such as" don't call the cops; they are union members!!", "shun the police and their families" etc..... They probably reek of body sweat and bacon grease.

” Don’t Talk to Cops”

Everyone should watch it.

I have never had an encounter with the police go sideways as in this landlord’s situation. However, I did watch this video last year and it opened my eyes significantly. Have to say, that video was probably the best legal advice I’ve ever received...and will guide me in the future, especially if a police encounter has the potential for blowing up in my face.

“I want my attorney present, please.” Zip lips.

My God, woman; as a booster of black-clad dogkilling cement-heads, how do you even make sense of your own tagline???

As for “IDIOTS”, I must ask, are you calling for reinforcements?

Uh, dear lady, there are many of us on this forum who share Lurkin’s sentiments. It would literally take somebody being murdered in my front yard for me to call the local cops. The few times I have (never for murder, yet), I always call the admin number so that their adrenalin is not quite so pumped up. And then I leave the immediate area.

If they want to talk to me they can call.

I don’t trust them at all.

Earlier post reported for personal attack.

And in the meantime, if you are really convinced that this place is so populated with low lifes why don’t you just LEAVE it alone. Because all that low life will rub off on virgin you.

Too often, guys who are less than Boy Scouts migrate to police organizations, especially in screamingly liberal cities. If you live in Mayberry, and Andy Griffith keeps Barney Fife in check, then feel free to ignore all commentary here. Otherwise take careful heed and warning — at the very least if it looks like something serious has gone down and immediate personal danger has passed, call your lawyer before doing anything else.

I totally agree. Submariner’s wife, I envy you and I’m glad you haven’t had to see what a lot of the rest of us have. We live in an extremely law-abiding, conservative region full of ex-military and when we all get together as a neighborhood one of our main topics of conversation is police brutality. My son-in-law was arrested last weekend when he tried to aid a policeman who had responded to a false alarm at my son-in-law’s own house! The cop badgered and badgered him until he thought he’d found some bulls!t reason to bring him down—oh, and this is all in front of my six-month old grandson. The next day one of the neighbors came over to say he had also been arrested after he’d stopped to help a woman and her child after a car accident. When my daughter went to the police station to complain about how the baby had been treated she was told the police could arrest anyone at any time for any reason and DID NOT have to be read their rights. You can bet we hired a lawyer. My son-in-law is the best kid in the world, never in trouble, straight arrow and straight-A student in college. Don’t trust the police. Don’t offer them information unless there are lives at stake, and even then, consult a lawyer first.

They shoot grandmothers in their beds and plant evidence to frame them in Atlanta.

The FBI allows mobsters to carry out contract murders for over a decade in Boston.

The FBI shoots Boy Scouts in the face as he was following their orders in North Carolina

They routinely steal money from innocent travelers and demand they prove it isn’t illegally obtained.

They kill more dogs than rabies does and then claim they “felt threatened”.

Crime labs fabricate evidence over the course of years and thousands of cases sending God knows how many innocent people to prison.

They are Government paid thugs with guns, badges, and the power of the State behind them.

Shun them. Shun their spouses. Shun their kids.

Clayton County is the hell hole of Atlanta. To give you some perspective their school system is constantly and chronically in danger of losing its accreditation and they recently elected a Sheriff facing 30 felony counts. Tell you something?

“Cops are not your friends. Do not call them unless someone is the situation is absolutely life threatening.
Do not talk to cops. Shun them. Shun their families.
They are nothing more than thugs with badges and guns.
Period.”

No truer words were ever spoken. They are criminals with badges and guns. We have never had a positive experience with our cops, some of whom are now awaiting trial for illegal gun trafficking and drug sales.

I’ll bet 90% of us were just like submarinerswife not too long ago. Where we were dead wrong was in thinking “respecting authority” was a conservative trait.

‘76-’80 I was a young fellow with a night job and was constantly hassled by insane cops. Looking back, I’m sure there were a lot of cokeheads in blue in that era. But, I was a good, little Reaganite and thought I was just unlucky. Only “liberals” criticized our heroes in blue. And movies like SERPICO were commie propaganda!

I started to wake up when G. Gordon Liddy went after fed atrocities and the dog shootings made me lose all respect for any badge.

Sadly, submarinerswife is in a vast majority and it will never change. People want rulers.

While I dont hate cops, I think alot of them take down the low hanging fruit. One night after midnight, across the street from my house a house party devolved into a mass melee of fighting with baseball bats and fists. I decided to call the cops when a guy in a wife beater and boxer shorts stood in the middle of the street pointing something and yelling “Im gonna kill you!”
The 911 operator asked me more questions about me and the residents of my house that what was going on outside. questions like, do i have guns in my house, why am i afraid that I may get injured. Did I have any felonies or warrants etc...the cops then came straight to my house and pounded on the door instead of breaking up the fighting that was occuring outside. I still wonder what would have happened if I would have answered the door.

My point exactly...one never knows on what side they’ll come down.

It’s best just to avoid having anything to do with them.

If nothing else, this policy will almost certainly ensure that your dog lives.

Why are you so enamored of government employees? Why do you react to those who condemn the corrupt the same way one of the ancients would regard a foreigner who despised his god?
