"Exactly what is the great experiment?"

You're kidding me, right?

If not, the great experiment was our Founding Fathers' creating a self-determination system, as opposed to authoritarian rule as had been the norm through time immemorial. A system that much of the world has emulated to its benefit. That was an "experiment" as some called or implied at the time during the Constitutional debates. Without Googling, do you know what happen in 1987?

You were teasing me, right? You really can't be that obtuse.

"If there is depression and hyperinflation, democrats and liberals will suffer the most."

I hope they do. They asked for it - let them have it. I don't give one single little iota anymore for those who don't think beyond their brain-washing education or their obsession with kardashians. Let them all hit the streets on skid row and live in cardboard boxes. Yes, I no longer care about them. Too frigging bad - they have brought this on themselves and my children and grand-children, especially after tonight. But hey, they got Obama-phones. Pfft.

Wow, I am glad I don’t know everything like you seem to think you do. No, I do not know any particular event that happened in 1987. Apparently, you didn’t either if you mentioned Google.

Calling me names and making fun of me doesn’t help.

Look, I will be straight. I am an epileptic. Had one surgery this year and in one day 20 grand mals. Sometimes the medicine they have me on makes me a bit foggy. I have lost one dog through stomach flipping and another is about to die of cancer this year. I am not saying this for sympathy. Just to let you know it’s been a rough year. I would appreciate you not mocking me. That’s all.

Ok so do we give NM to Mexico and do CA, OR, and WA join with the north east as a nation?
And where do we put the Great Lake states?

I say we start with Texas and Oklahoma.

Pulling for sympathy is no excuse for not knowing the Great American Experiment. It has been the Revolution, the fight for individual Freedom, the Idea that our Rights come from God, not Government. No Kings, No Lords, No Masters except God. Our forefathers fought and died for this cause and created the ultimate form of government - Our Constitution.

Only in America could this have happened! It’s called democratic government, actually controlled by the people with rights from God! We the people are in control and in charge of our Country - not Government! They are our servants!

Now when more of the people want more of the Government and can elect them then we have lost! Our great experiment is over and we might as well be governed by Kings.

I’m sure that he meant nothing negative toward you but for you NOT to understand what he was saying does say something about your education or your understanding of America or maybe your understanding of our Government and just how it came about! Perhaps you are from another country?

This is NOT meant to be mean in any way. Just saying if you really did not understand what he was saying then you need lots of history lessons (which I know are missing in our schools these days).

And you need a lesson in the difference between empathy and sympathy. As you will note, I said I don’t need sympathy. Empathy is when you can put your feet in someone else’s shoes. Sympathy is when you involve yourself in the problem which you are doing now with this garbage post to me. Every other sentence in your post is a slam against me for not knowing about the great experiment. All I said was the medicine I am on contributes sometimes to memory loss.

I looked at your home page. Don’t stop looking for double eagle. Yes, I know that a double eagle is 2 under birdie. Like if you have par of 5, you sink your second shot. Also my dad was a plus 3 golfer.

Sorry that you took my comments offensively... Carry on. It does seem to be a problem of mine though...heh.

Really sorry that you took my comments wrong. I tried to negate that during those comments.

It is not that I don’t understand the problem, it is that I don’t understand the analysis. You can blame that on me.

By the way, I was also a 3 handicap (my lowest official) at 57 years of age (was much better when I was younger). Golf is a great game for both young and older folks. When you get older, you tend to give it up as your scores increase...

Again, really sorry, did not mean to either dismiss or demean you...

Don’t worry about it. Forgotten. We are all pretty sensitive after the election.

A 3 handicap is almost pro. That is really fantastic.

If your handicap is 3 my dad being a plus 3 would have to give you 6 strokes.

You are right. Golf is a great game. It’s one of the few games you compete against yourself and you always want to play with someone better than yourself as it will improve your game. I sure understand about getting older. You may even have to change to a lighter set of clubs too. LOL

Thank you again for your apology and may I do the same.

Thank you very much for your understanding...

Maybe golf is the intermediate area of understanding...heh.

A bit of clarification though, a Plus 3 and a Handicap of 3 is the same thing. That means that on a course of par 72 and you shoot a 75, you would be adjusted to a par round of 72. So, your Dad and I would be the same handicap. Now in my younger years, I would have beaten him badly...heh (Sorry, had to get that in..).

At any rate, thanks for your understanding and I understand you... Keep up the good work here...

Wow, I missed wanting to respond to one of your comments.

As to lighter clubs - ie. swing weight. I have been making my own clubs for 30 years and adjusting swing weights, loft, stiffness, etc. (still like steel over carbon for irons) as needed with age...heh. Still have all the equipment to make clubs.

I usually get my parts from Golfsmith but occasionally a few other places. I do adjust the length and weight for me though and usually have about 3 sets with different measurements/weights/stiffness. Eventually though I’ve settled on a general area and now only have a couple of sets. That happens when you get older - heh. But that is expected and normal...

So yes, Golf is a great game with so many differences for the player. I imagine that your Dad was also continuously challenging the physical limits of the equipment. Ask him and I would assume that he will thrill you with hours of club selection, length, shaft stiffness, loft, and many other things.

You will only become closer with such conversations!

"...do you know what happen in 1987?"

Sorry, that was a typo that should have read "1787".

And yes, I know quite a bit about the FF's concerns, intentions, correspondence, editorials, personal discussions, personal diaries, and their Constitutional Debates. I know who was for States' Rights and who was for Federal control during the early debates before the Revolution. Can you give me the name of the Fedgov supporter without Googling?

I'm sorry if it seemed I was mocking you, but I was actually trying to say you were ill-informed. Although little difference, the nuance offended you. That was not my intent. Take care and hope you feel better.
