It’s not the same country it was when Reagan was re-elected in 1984. The demographics have shifted beyond our control, and it will only get worse.

People are only going to wake up and realize it after it is too late.

Again, bitter medicine. It’s very hard to get people to accept that.

I’m sure the like minded will be discussing it here in the coming days.

“I agree. He may have run the best Republican presidential campaign I have ever seen. He gave great speeches, he did extremely well in the debates, and I thought his advertising was excellent.”

I think its kind of ilrelevent, maybe he could have done something better and won, maybe he couldn’t and the corruption(government thief) was simply too stacked against him. Either way it was a fight for the hearts of a dwindling population of Republicans(virtue not party).

As more of the population is educated to accept voting themselves money from other people’s pockets there is nothing anyone can do but become a greater part of the problem until there nether any money nor productive citizen left to buy votes off the back of.

Then you have a dictatorship, such is inevitable the fate of those states(and their people) that remain a party(subject) to these united States.

Depends what people you’re talking about. I think we all just got a dash of cold water as to whether most of our countrymen will be waking up anytime soon.

You do not need to counter me as we are in violent agreement.

So far as I can see the only question that remains now is how is the breaking off to be done? We have given due process all the chances it deserves.

We were never intended to be a Democracy because the conclusion you suggest, Dictatorship, was foreseen and only the Constitution that has been corrupted from the intended form was there to stop the Dictatorship.

I will add to you, a fellow Texan, that Texas is not the refuge some think it is. Texas is rapidly becoming BLUE and the trickle of immigrant invasion that has caused that shift will now become a flood.

First taxes to support all those who will vote themselves a raise from YOUR treasury. I’m talking about your pocket book. Next rising property taxes... you do not now own your own property. You only think you do. It is owned by the taxing authorities. What you ear and what you have will be taken from you forcibly if necessary.

“So it had nothing to do with the gop-e picking Romney? It had nothing to do with Freepers blinding calling Romney the next Reagan just because he had an(R) after his name? None of that comes into play?”

Maybe it did, maybe it didn’t, Does it really matter either way? The fact is the socialist manage to buy off enough votes to retain power. The majority of key populations was corrupt enough to accept that bribe and choose to screw their countrymen.

You tell me how we are suppose to share a union with such criminals? Shall we play their game and fight to rob them until nobody has either any freedom, or individual innitive to work hard for prosperity left?

We play our noble game and we will simply be victims of the thieves, we play there game and we will become victims of each other. Either way its only a matter of time before nobody has enough individual drive or freedom to produce money left.

We will be left with but 2 choices a dictator promising us salvation, and a politician promising us more money that don’t exist(because almost nobody is left to produce). Guess who is going to eventually win?

Its time to gather what patriots we have and concoct a plan to leave Sodom to burn in its own fires. We can’t save criminals form themselves but we can try to save & protect the few patriots that remain. But that requires separation.

Rush did not like Romney, at all.

The blame for this lies ONE main place, the fifth column MSM. Their malpractice over events like Libya is astoundingly filthy. For the life of me, I can’t see what they get out of this. They destroy a great country and are still going to all go out of business.

The heck with them all. I’m going Galt, and other than that raising as much havoc as I can.

My guess is by 2016 we are going to be in a deep depression and anything can happen.

Stupid GOP rape comments

Stupid American voters.

Sold their souls for a cell phone and a slogan.

BUT, in case there is any doubt..... It was the Main Stream Media that elected and reelected Obama.

yeah, things are bad. A very large percentage of Americans are takers instead of producers. Romney failed to differentiate himself from Obama. He was not an ideologue. He was a nice guy who thought people would vote for him because he was a nice guy. We have to have a conservative candidate who can try to educate the electorate and illustrate why the Dem Party and socialism are evil. I’m not saying it’s assured that candidate will win. But we ran a moderate Pubbie who should have stomped a walking disaster like Obama. He lost. In four years if we lose with a genuine conservative, it’s time to talk about splitting up the country.

You ask how do we start the break? Well look to history and you may find you agree with me that the seed for it has already begun.

All we need do is fill into the minds of our true countrymen(republican in virtue) the raw truth of our situation with the inevitable outcome and the only real option for saving yourself and our posterity from the self-destructive ravages of the lawless criminal mob.

That is the best advice I can give you as it is the only method that I personalty have found to work. I hope very much that with your own experience and thinking power that you might find other methods and strategies.

being a patriot with a love of liberty and a respect for my own limitations I can only ask that you share what you learn & come up with, so that I too might benefit.

If you want to have that conversation in 4 years you be wise to start it now as many of us already are. It will take a great deal of effort and origination to put together a 2nd American revolution.

We will require decades of planing and perpetration before we get to that point, and so far we have but 4 years into that road, and anther 4 still to come.

Do as you think best driftless2, But I see this game is already over. The American repubilic is dead as the Constitution practical limits on Government power, and the democracy that has taken its place has already in the process of murdering itself.

Frankly it is that process that we should be watching for that process is the process by which wealth is compensated from those with the sprite and drive to be productive and rewarded to those who choose to be idle thieves.

As the productive are driven out of business and onto the doll they or their children will cease to be patriots and become yet anther part of the mob seeking to consume the next bit of our population.

In this way we patriots are on the clock. If we are to stop this cycle we must amutate(secede) to cut ourselfs off from the criminal reach cancerous criminal bit of our population.

But each day that we wait & prepare that goes by the cancer will spread. It is thus wise to begin preparing the political, physical, and moral ground work for the revolution now, so that when the time comes that you decide it is nessary we will be ready.

I was just over at NRO reading various articles by the talking heads there about why Romney lost. None of them chose the obvious one: more and more Americans love big government. They tried to blame the loss on Romney's stances on immigration or other conservative issues completely ignoring the possibility that there are simply now more takers than producers and more ignorant Americans. Their idea of a great government is one that takes from other citizens and gives to them.

The big thinkers in the conservative establishment were all behind Romney because he wasn't one of those nasty Tea Party types. Well he still got beat. Not by a lot, but this is an election where the Pubbie should have easily defeated a truly awful president. Didn't happen. Only one thing left to do other becoming Dem lite. Offer a true conservative next time. If that candidate loses, time to split.

Your argument is very reminiscent of the perpetual argument against 3rd parties: we can’t support a third party because we have to give the gop just one more chance. But some day in the ill-defined future date, we’ll try something different. And that ill-define future date never comes.

This was not just an election defeat, it was a repudiation of the values that we as conservatives hold dear. The choice couldn’t have been much more stark. I am no great fan of Gov. Romney, but to his credit I don’t see anyone else who could have done any better. Yes, he is a lot further left than I like but given the choice between radical socialism and a sort of liberal moderate conservatism, the people picked radical socialism. And it wasn’t even close.

At a certain point you realize that Ronald Reagan is not coming through that door on his charging steed.

Oh and one further point. While we sit around and lick our wounds and debate trying the same thing for the umpteenth time, the other side works to consolidate it’s victory. Immigration reform is the next item on their agenda. They know demographics is destiny.

You’re falling to a common election fallacy, that the same people show up to vote at each election. How ‘moderates’ and independents vote largely depends on which subset of the group is motivated to get out and vote. That means flashing a bright enough beacon from the part of the political spectrum that they lean toward to get them swept up in your movement. It doesn’t mean plotting the perfect mean between the bookended main masses of voters.

Likewise, what Obama’s campaign understood, and Romney’s MA-based political braintrust didn’t, is that you win by getting large numbers of your base motivated to get out and vote.

The Romney team ran him just as they did in MA, which as a managerial leader, rather than a leader of a political philosophy. That meant Romney had almost reverse coattails in MA—and an every shrinking GOP representation in the legislature—while it meant that what should have been a strong senatorial year for the GOP was a significant retreat in numbers for the incoming senate: another big boost to Obama.

Instead of engaging on philosophy, Romney ran on a condescending list of promises: ‘12 million more jobs, more take-home pay’.

He effectively took Obamacare off the table as an issue, by stubbornly promoting the wisdom of Romneycare.

He played it so safe in the last debate that he also took Benghazi—and exposure of Obama’s gunrunning to the enemy—off the table as well.

Romney didn’t lose by way of reckless gaffe, but by being all too cautious and almost apologetic for whatever shred of conservative ideology he didn’t abandon.
