Boehner: New taxes OK under right conditions (Headline is a Lie)
MarketWatch ^ | 11/7/12 | Robert Schroeder

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- New revenues "under the right conditions" are acceptable to Republicans as part of a deal to reduce the deficit, House Speaker John Boehner said Wednesday. But Boehner, speaking a day after his party retained its House majority in elections, said revenue should come through growth and reform, not higher tax rates. Bush-era tax cuts are set to expire and automatic spending cuts will kick in next year if Congress doesn't act in the lame-duck session

We need to “Go Galt.”

I’m ok with America crashing now. I’ve come to terms with the inevitability. Let’s get it over with so we can start to re-build.

Is Texas and OK going to secede? Somebody call me. I’ll need a place to stay when we get there. :o)

So, is there a time that the Index is going to look better?

I think not.

This is what yesterday really boiled down to..no responsibility.

Just keep pushing off the debt, racking up deficits, until we cross the event horizon, and cannot escape.

It's time to feel the pain right now. This is the only card that we were dealt after yesterday, and it is the right time to play it.

I don’t know why this guy pretends to be anything other than the closet leftist player that he is. Everyone is on to him. So why try to pretend. For instance- you take Obama’s Carbon Tax -It can’t go through without this man. But it will go through. Wait and see.

Not only the media but also the ratings agencies conflate the terms “revenue” and “taxes” as meaning the same thing.

Never trust a Rino, especially a Rino that values a good suntan.

We are getting the “new” taxes anyway, if NOTHING is done.

Any prior reduction in taxes done a decade ago, reflects the “old” taxes. The reversion to the previous rate schedule, being automatic, demands nothing of the House of Representatives, but it does provide an enormous bargaining tool. The paired action of sequestration, and the absence of any deal on raising the debt limit, has the immediate effect of shocking the Current Regime into coming up with a compromise in the direction of the Republican majority in the House.

Play out the bluff. The Republicans have absolutely nothing to lose at this point. This cannot be used against the Republican nominee for the Presidency, and the House is for two years, at least, safely in the hands of the Republicans.

Obama gets the tax rates raised, as he seems to want, and he also has to face a stark reality.

Seems as though eating their own is more important to conservatives than understanding how the MSM is lying to them.

They don’t need a budget— they have us to pay whatever bills they run up- in fact we don’t even pay the bills, we pass on those bills PLUS interest to our kids.

Who the hell needs a budget when you’ve got TAXPAYERS??

Maybe he can borrow one from Todd Akin or Richard Mourdock, I’m sure they have plenty to spare this morning.

An orange juice can would be better. Doing nothing would be better than caving in as usual.
