This post is written in anger and frustration.

Angry that we continue to follow the Republican Party’s elite ignorance. A party that continues to pull defeat from the jaws of victory characterized by pompous fools who fulfill the sterotype built by the left.

Frustrated that the reality of politics is this: There will be no third party capable of competing with the coalition constructed by the dems. As a result, true conservatives MUST take steps to irradicate the ignorance of the Republican Party while still adhering to the core values of our forefathers (beliefs that I discovered are considered extreme by over half of my countrymen on Tuesday night, BTW).

I have no solve for exactly how to accomplish this. Only advice based on a long military career in several foreign lands for how to defeat the dems once this is accomplished.

This thought process is based on the concept of irregular warfare with twists thrown in here and there for good measure.

With that, I provide the following advice for the good of the order.

LEADERSHIP: The old crew has proven either incompotent or outdated. McConnell and Boerner must go. They represent a failed plan to defend and resist without clearly explaining their position. They are content with looking like the bad guys and face public scorn when they don’t realize how important it is to manipulate a clearly left leaning MSM. They represent the failure of the last four years to our own and obstructionists to the opposition. We’ve got to show a new face to the nation. That is the genesis of rebuilding this movement. Ryan or Cantor in the House, Rubio or Demint in the Senate.

We also need a standard bearer and I see no one on the horizon with as much rockstar potential and substance as Rubio. These next four years must put him on the center stage with a unified and consolidated message. It also needs to protect him from the attacks from the left that are guaranteed to come.

Everything the Obamites used to deny, deflect, and difuse will be used againstt hem....including the race card. THAT is what will make Rubio a teflon candidate.

These men represent a change in a party that has been beaten soundly in the last two elections by a charlatan and his traveling circus. A fresh choice in leadership represents change you can TRULY beleive in from every angle. It marks a clear start from inside and outside when we actually started taking this enemy seriously.

GROUND GAME: It is IMPERATIVE to develop and foster an intricate ground game. It requires a MICRO-ANALYSIS of every county, every city, and every early and absentee ballot by demographic to find how how, why, and with what method they voted. The dems have built quite the coalition but it’s a house of cards; it’s a fractured coalition of single issue voters held together by a media-invested hollyweird worshipping demagogue. They can be piecemealed away bitby bit without sacrficing principle.

Give it to the dems on their “community organizing” machine. We don’t need to reinvent that model. We MUST develop our own. One that will INSTILL our principles in a language tailored to the audience. They’ve tailored theirs on the community organizer, we can create ours around the military special operator. This the winning of hearts and minds in our own third world backyard dem strongholds.

This isn’t as difficult as it sounds. It requires a patient and immediate effort that starts with the post election analysis looking not for what we WANT to find, but for the GROUND TRUTH. GROUND TRUTH is REAL INTELLIGENCE not Rovian number-crunching wishful thinking.

It will require an insurgent effort at the ground level. An infiltration into dem areas that we identify are weak or vulnerable to start cutting in to the blue.

The COIN (insurgeny/counterinsurgency)effort would include the identification of these areas, the inflitration of the areas through churches and charitable organizations AND PARTICULARLY THROUGH EDUCATION.

There ARE like thinkers in these communities. How do we find them? Ask Jesse L. Peterson. Ask JC Watts and Herman Cain. They KNOW how to splinter these vulnerable areas off the blue.

The hispanic issue is RIPE for moving into the red. Catholic, family oriented cultures who beleive in being left alone and naturally distrust the government. And they voted Obama? This is the epitome of the single issue voter. the RNC needs to go toe to toe, issue to issue with “the Race” and counter it in that community, in that language, at THAT LEVEL.

Think it can’t be done? SOF has been doing it since the end of World War II. It CAN be done.

WE must get deep into the education system to promote the ideals and values of conservatism that should be selling themselves. I’m not talking about traditional public schools and universities. They are ROTTED with liberals. They also aren’tthe keys to education in the 21st century.

I’m talking about the new way to educate - the online universities, the trade schools and nightschools. Corporate allies need to invest and educate with the ideals of economic and fiscal conservatism.

The RNC needs to lead and develop this effort. A novice like me can see that there is a disconnect between the voting habits of catholic-dominated hispanics and pockets of baptist blacks and their actual stated values. That disconnect can be exploited if it is done slowly, deliberately, and effectively.

INFORMATION WARFARE: We are ATROCIOUS AT THIS. Dems get a simple message out early and often. They poison the well and we are left to change minds rather than get the initial impression right from jump. We constantly play defense and think we are sooooo clever when dems (as they ALWAYS do) do something stupid or illegal and shocked when the media all but ignores it. We must take the offensive in getting up in every Candy Crowley, every George Stepenopolis’ face and call them what they are: democratic hacks posing as the “objective media”

We ABSOLUTELY MUST be proactive. We must attack at EVERY OPPORTUNITY then add each fail of the dems to a trend and theme. These themes must be simple, tailored, and repetitively broadcast to each target demographic.

We must look out beyond the 5 and 10 meter targets. We’ve got to effectively interpret what the dem message is on the horizon and confront it at all levels - from the national MSM level filtering directly down to the target group level. Even I can see what the talking points of the upcoming week are by watching the Sunday talking head programs. Defense is unacceptable. we can’t pretent that the most outrageous comment won’t gain traction then act surprised when weeks later, that theme picks up steam. Attack, attack, attack.

Alinsky tactics must be turned against their masters. There is GREAT power in ridicule and scorn. They make it too easy to use. It needs to be culturally tailored and consistent. Dennis Miller needs his own show on FNC AND a late night show on Fox. Let him source and promote culturally diverse conserative comedians that vulnerable areas can relate to and remember. Bold Fresh tours aren’t enough.

This is only part of an overall information operation plan that is constant in a simple party message and what it means to each target group.

WE DON’T DO THAT WELL. WHY NOT? I find it unbelievable that Obama has hijacked the reputation and imagery of the Party of Lincoln.

COIN operations involve a very in depth understanding of cultural idocyncracies and how best to exploit them to our advantage. It’s not a “wool-over-the-eyes” approach or a “free shit” approach like the dems sell. THAT ALWAYS COMES UP SHORT.

It’s a sell based on how it effects each target group and what it means to them. If it’s done right, I am CONFIDENT that the tenets of conservatism sell themselves.

In Civil Miltary Operations, assistance in areas that seem unrelated builds trust in the agency. Granted, there’s a fine line between assistance and the giving of free shit but, the special operations forces walk that line well. It can be done. Community outreach in areas that we identify, in ways that we haven’t before can build a larger tent without sacrificing our beliefs.

The military has been doing this in third world countries for years. We’ve been more successful in some areas, less successful in others. In the United States third world strongholds of the Democratic Party,I am confident that it can be done.

Here’s the kicker: There are countless retired special operations planners and operators working overseas as contractors RIGHT NOW. It’s too easy; the RNC needs to hire them as contractors over here.

This is, by far, not the only avenue we’ve got to pursue in order to turn the tide.

But, if we are going to war, the RNC must look to the military to rediscover and reorganize. The number-crunching beancounters have their place in the organization but, on their best days, they can only identify who will and won’t vote Republican.

This is a “Hearts and Minds” effort.

It requires a new way to think about the political battlefield.

Rangers Lead the Way.

You have captured a lot of good tactical stuff here.

I would emphasize the fact that this is an information war. Just ask the simple question: “What did Bush do” and everyone hears the same mantra “Bush lied, people died”. Who needs a Manchurian Candidate when you have a Manchurian Country? The other side is very good at planting these messages and nurturing them, and we stand around with thumbs up our butts. Here’s another one: Why has it been tough for Obama to make change? Answer: “because of the mess he inherited”....

We hear this crap and cringe, but for the average person - this is ALL they hear. It’s all the media presents (thanks to JournoList, they all use exactly the same words at the same time) and it’s crafted to be memorable and something that sticks in the brain when repeated over and over, just like any great advertising slogan.

It’s PsyOps. They’ve been using these techniques and we haven’t....why is that?

They have NPR, the Main Steam Media, the unionized teachers, the university professors, the movie and music entertainment industry and every democrat politician delivering and reinfocing the same message day in day out.

What do we have? Hannity reading off his endless mantra of talking points, having become so boring that even conservatives wish Alan Colmes was back on his show...

Rush? Sure if you’re home during the day and can listen to AM radio or download a podcast. Yeah, that’s going to offset the Daily Show, the View, and Piddly Diddy alright...

We need better rules of engagement, better tactics, and some leadership that gets it.

Adding to what you have written ...A View from Abroad

Some editing of the 6 points in that 'report from Germany,' so that it reads a little easier ...

1) That the Democrats clearly have a more effective team operating in the field. For example, my debate opponent from Democrats Abroad had been to many, many Democrat Party training events in DC and had a direct line to vast numbers of not only politicians but also access to an entire administrative support network at party headquarters. All during the night, he knew in real time from party HQ specific exit poll data for strategic zip codes and indicated that the local leaders were reacting in real time to rush in any potential reserves of voters who may not have already voted in those precincts. In other words, they have "troops" in the voting field with multiple levels of leaders and a powerful admin support. If need be, these "troops" will hand carry a voter in to secure the vote.

2) They have an incredible amount of specific data [* see after 6, below] about not only their own constituents but about the demographics of their voters, potential voters, where they live, their occupations (note I didn't say work) , their affiliations (ie churches, unions, social clubs)---and how to get them to actually commit the act of voting. All of this on a house to house basis for strategic precincts.

Here I don't mean general data like X% are in the union but specifics like which specific churches in Cleveland will help organize car pools to get voters in specific neighborhoods into the voting booth. Or making sure that specific local union offices are coordinating their efforts with other union halls, social clubs and church groups in specific areas to achieve a huge turnout in their precincts. Or what powerful local community leaders can be counted on to bring their flock into the voting booth. And all of it is gamed out well in advance of the election.

In their world, they are very, very, very close to their voters and handle them directly just like their vision of the Nanny State handling citizens. The data is provided by their field operations and continually updated at all times---not only at election times. And furthermore, they seem to have a surprising amount of specific demographic data about Republican voters--or at least about strategic concentrations of them. On one level, this capability could be comparable to the depth of market data that a route salesman would be expected to know about his territory and customers. On another level, this deep capability covers at least all strategically important geographic areas and is strategically managed with the professionalism of military intelligence resources.

3) They have a very effective communications system which coordinates efforts of Nr1 and Nr2 from the head of the snake all the way down to street level "troops". It works reliably and their team knows how to use it.

4) Since the 2000 election, I have been aware that their team routinely takes advantage of vast pro democrat sentiments overseas to gain

a)fundraising from abroad through donations to groups like Democrats Abroad,

b) foreign citizens who volunteer to operate programs like phone banks, websites, social media, mailings which can be managed from Europe for example but used to back up the election effort stateside, and

c) large armies of energetic Europeans (ie students but also sometimes retirees) who take "vacations" to the USA during vote season and "volunteer" as free manpower to help field operations of democrats. To them, this is a fun way to experience the American Dream while helping achieve success for the candidate of their choice (always a democrat). How many are there? Probably many thousands--but there is no way to tell since they are not officially working.

5) When elections are coming up, the Democrats do not set up operations to win the election [as the Republicans do]. The Democrats ALWAYS have their program running at some ongoing medium level and simply rev it up to speed during elections...

[G]enerally speaking, there is never a stop to campaigning and field work designed to maintain heavy voter levels. So bear in mind that, today is not the end of an election where they pack up and go home until next time like Republicans do...

The first thing they [the Democrats] are going to do, is to figure out how this election was won and start gaming out the next election. Seriously, they probably already have started figuring out how to win the 2016 election even if they aren't sure yet which candidates will be chosen for which jobs. In many ways, their operations work like the U.S. Army where there are many levels of leaders, deep bench strength of future leaders, mentoring, training and clear leadership development programs so that they will never be caught with their pants down and not have leaders who can take over wherever and whenever. This is not the case with the Republican party for sure.

6) Demographics are going against us, and the demographic groups that traditionally support democrats are growing while those who traditionally support republicans are shrinking. In other words, in future elections, it will be much harder to defeat democrats at the national level ----that is unless there is a way to convince these lucrative voter groups who support democrats right now that it is a better idea to support Republican candidates. Obviously this is a really serious issue which will cause huge debate.... But bear in mind that if Puerto Rico becomes a state, then there will immediately be two more senators and some more congressmen who will certainly voter with Obama's crew unless something else changes.

I agree with everything you said except this: “The hispanic issue is RIPE for moving into the red. Catholic, family oriented cultures who beleive in being left alone and naturally distrust the government.”

The Mexicans I know are very happy with the Left and free stuff! They work under the table, carry wads of cash and pay NO income taxes. They get housing assistance, electric assistance, food stamps, free educations and free medical care and Obamaphones, yet they hate America.

They open illegal businesses and get away with breaking our laws because no one will enforce the laws. They are a protected group and above the laws that you and I are subject to.

Catholic? Not so much, in name only. Family yes. They will not go red in any sense of the word. They know where their bread is buttered. They will never go conservative and the democrats know it.

Republicans need to wake the heck up and insist on enforcing immigration laws and mandatory IDs at the voting booth. They are cutting their own throats by thinking hispanics will vote for them. It just isn’t going to happen.

Heard an interesting interview on a Hannity recorded program today with Frank Luntz about how conservatives communicate. One point was that as long as we adopt the language of Karl Marx to explain our economic leanings, i.e. “capitalism”, we don’t stand a chance.

I think there’s a lot of truth to that. People yearn for “economic freedom,” not “capitalism”. There are other instances as well.

Many conservatives are going off half cocked. We have to get through this term with Obama, if God wills, and stand for principles - encourage Boehner not to blubber and brown nose Obama. Although, it might be the wise thing for Republicans to vote “present”, just let Obama go, and then when reality sets in, Obama will not be able to keep on with the “it’s Bush’s fault” mantra. If he does that, then shame him loud and clear with “IT’S THE OBAMA ECONOMY NOW!!!” over and over until people hear it. Continuing to join and help the Democrats keep on racking up the debt and then blaming the Republicans because a few of them joined in and voted for their recklessness. - I am NOT concerned with the death of the Republican Party as I am about the death and shame of America.

Get it across to the women in America that NO PRESIDENT can do ANYTHING to take their precious abortion away from them. Never mind that most likely more of them have died at “legal” abortion clinics than ever died in back alley abortions! ONCE AND FOR ALL . . REPEAT . . REPEAT . . REPEAT UNTIL THEY GET IT!!!

DEAL WITH OBAMACARE as best as they can. The country’s liberals voted for it overwhelmingly (I guess), so let them get an education in the school of hard knocks, and when they WHINE about this or that, just say TOUGH.

Unemployment under Obama’s going to be a stinker; TOUGH.

TOUGH, TOUGH, TOUGH, TOUGH, TOUGH!! “See Barack about it!”

Of course, I’m a nobody and who’s gonna listen to me. I’m just fed up and venting.

. . . true conservatives MUST take steps to irradicate the ignorance of the Republican Party . . .

The word is "eradicate," unless you meant "irradiate," which I'd go for. Or perhaps you were inventing a new Palinism (like "refudiate") to combine the two words.

You are right the Mex invaders are pretty much a horrible lot who want the Anglos to work for them by being the mules who pay for all their freebies. One Obama care loving female said with a straight face ‘no one will be allowed to get medical care with out a valid US ID and bills will be collected on by the government.” I told her that Mexicans had more identities than blacks and laugh at attempts to collect anything from them as they have fake identities listing bogus or nonexistent addresses and they think the Anglos are monumentally stupid but exploitable. She said ‘that's just not so. People can't do that.’ With that mindset it is hard to get anywhere.

Wow, there are some really great ideas here. Let me add some thoughts to help in my own way.

It’s not helpful for us to throw rocks at the Republican Party, because we are the Republican Party. If the party is going against conservative principles, and I believe it is, we need to overthrow the leadership and point it back in the right direction. Throwing support to the Libertarians or the Constitution Party or any other third party is a sure recipe for continued losses. As I understand it, the first step in the process is to volunteer to be a Precinct Committeeman. That is the “grass roots” level of party membership, the folks who get together and decide who’s going to be on the ballot for local Republican-supported positions. If the RNC wants to run a RINO for some office, the Precinct Committemen can outvote them and put in a true conservative. The organization and leadership of the county and state Republican party members are a mystery to me, but I’m sure it’s possible to find out how those are put together and run conservative candidates for those positions. I would bet that the state party leaders have something to do with selecting RNC leadership positions, so that’s the next step. It doesn’t help us to stand over here in the corner and complain about “those guys over there.” Let’s make the RNC something we can be proud of.

I’ve heard from a friend who went to some meetings with his local Congressional Representative that the House Republicans are very disillusioned with Boehner and would like to see him step down as Speaker of the House. So we may see a positive development there. I don’t know that McConnell is all that bad. Last I heard, he was still standing up to Harry Reid and vowing that Republican Senators would be part of the legislative process or there would be no process at all.

I agree with you about Marco Rubio. He is a true conservative and his background is impeccable. The worst thing I ever read about him was something about what his brother in law did once, if I recall correctly. The MSM really struggled to come up with that, and it was all they had. Drudge had a headline about him travelling to Iowa the day after the election, so he’s in people’s thoughts. Something else I was thinking about rising stars: if Allen West does lose his election, he would make an excellent RNC chairman.

I really don’t like to see people playing the race card, but at some point the Republicans may need to think about doing that in self defense. We don’t really think about race when we think about Republicans, because we’re all Americans. That opens the door for the lefties to say that the Tea Party is mostly old white guys. So we may need to form some subgroups for women and blacks and Latinos and whatever “diversity” indicators we can come up with. Then when the lefties come up with their statements that we have no “people of color” with us, the Black Republicans can issue a strongly-worded statement of indignation about the insensitivity and ignorance of Democrats.

The GOP.com website is an absolute disaster from the standpoint of campaigning. Right there on the first page they should have a group of links to stories about how Obama and the Democrats have failed to govern the country with any kind of competence. Instead, it looks like a website for people who are curious about what is a Republican and where can I go to find out? The RNC must have sent me 30-40 mailings in the last four years asking for money. It was a complete waste. They should stop all those mailings and start buying billboard space, saying things with very few words like like “Obama lost 50,000 jobs in December. RNC.ORG” And then have the same exact wording right on the front page of their website, with links to documented news stories and interviews with the affected workers. And this needs to start TODAY, not in 2015! The MSM isn’t going to talk about Obama’s failures, and lefties won’t listen to right wing talk radio, but the billboards will get their attention and maybe get us some media time too.

And no offense, but we need to communicate our ideas in plain language, not with acronyms and code words like COIN and SOF. But you are right on the money about attacks and ridicule and scorn. We are horrible at that. Instead of saying “Here’s how Republicans could do it better,” we should be saying “Look at what the Democrats have done now to screw up the country even more, those incompetent, fumble-fingered idiots.”

Good discussion, great ideas, excellent topic. Now let’s get together and make it happen!

I’m open to suggestion for another rock star candidate.

Rubio’s stated he’s not a Dream Act guy. He’s also balls enough to realize that immigration is an issue that needs to be dealt with. I don’t agree with a the Reagan model that i think he’s leaning for but, I also realize you can’t bury your head in the sand and wait for it to resolve.

The folks are single issue voters. The appeal hasn’t been made. Do you know how much impact you get in the hispanic community when you challenge their PRIDE? They can be turned.

Here’s where you and I disagree:

You’re bulking hispanics and blacks based on the demographic. I suspect you live on the SW border and you’re kneedeep in them.

My experience with them is over here in the southeast. I’m convinced that there are vulnerable pockets of them who ARE RIPE fOR THE PICKING. This is where customizing the message is so important. I see them as the Kurds of the US.

Blacks too. Away from the population cesspools and inner city welfare cultures, some blacks here in Alabama wouldn’t even know they were black if BET and the MSM weren’t cramming it down their throats.

Establish a front with these populations and extend our gains over time.
