Dear Republican Congress, Give Obama and His Boys Everything They Want
Townhall.com ^ | November 11, 2012 | Doug Giles

Posted on 11/11/2012 2:03:56 AM PST by Kaslin

A cigar aficionado and amigo of mine named Irwin penned a note to the Republican Congress the night after Obama got elected for four more years of this slop, and I thought I’d pass it on to you. Check it out ...

Dear Republican Congress,

As a conservative Republican I am begging you to give president Obama and those who voted for him everything they want.

They want higher taxes on the rich and companies. Give it to them.

They want higher capital gains taxes that will hurt their investments. Give it to them.

They want a system that will make Medicare insolvent by 2024 and Social Security insolvent soon after that. Give it to them.

They want policies that will lead to constant double-digit unemployment rates for minorities and young people. Give it to them.

They want an educational system that entraps the poor in failing schools. Give it to them.

They want higher energy prices. Give it to them.

They want to spend trillions of dollars fighting global warming while China and India continue to tap oil and coal. Give it to them.

They want 20 trillion dollars plus in debt. Give it to them.

They want the Obamacare penalties to kick in next year. Give it to them.

They want a larger, more powerful Washington DC. Give it to them.

They want a more secular society that is increasingly hostile toward religion. Give it to them.

They want a more “fair” society run by bureaucrats. Give it to them.

They want socialist cronyism. Give it to them.

They want to go down the road of Europe. Give it to them.

In addition to the aforementioned, I say that we legalize weed from sea to shining sea. Wait ... not just weed but acid. Think of how creative everyone could be and how it would distort the Obama voters’ reality from the truly sucky conditions his policies have created. That’s what you call a bona fide two-fer, folks. You’re welcome.

Oh, and we mustn’t forget cocaine and heroin legalization. And bath salts! How could I forget bath salts? Bath salts help spice things up during an unemployed weekend! Calgon’s calling. Nothing like dumping drugs into a culture of entitlement. I can’t imagine that going south.

Yes, I join with my friend Irwin and say that we give it to them and find out once and for all who is right. If we are right, they will have no one to blame but themselves, and maybe we will finally get true change in this country and in the Republican party so that we have a real choice in the years to come.

If we are wrong, then so be it. I will gladly repent of my evil conservative ways and become a socialist … I mean Democrat.

Well: Look at it this way.

They are going to take pretty much what they want anyway.

Do you really thing Boehner and Mitch McConnell are going to stop them?

If you do I have a bridge for sale-—cheap.

Boehner has already sold out. This lame duck session is goin to be a SOB. Pehaps if Republicans are smart enough to get new leadership for the next Congress it might get somewhat better.

This is the most stupid strategy I could ever imagine. The US electorate gave Obama every thing he wanted four years ago. He got a majority in the house and a veto proof senate. He chose to squander that mandate by wasting it on Obamacare. The Tea Party stopped that mandate by obliterating the house Democrats two years later.

Now we're just supposed to roll over, play dead, and give Obama his will again? No way!

“If we give them amnesty, America is finished permanently”

Quite a quandary we face, no?

1. Refuse to support amnesty, the hispanics support dems by 4-1.

2. Support amnesty, and the resultant new hispanic voters (along with the current ones) will support dems by 4-1.

Immigration should`ve been seriously handled in the 1980s before the cancer metastasized to its present state. It`s inoperable now.

Amerika is finished as a 50-state union. The only chance for a future is an amicable separation along the lines delineated between “red” and “blue” states. Some population shifts will need to occur to create some form of contiguous linking. among the “red” regions.

Other than that, we`re screwed.

I agree they should give just enough votes that the democrats have to vote unanimously to raise the taxes. I would be very vocal about it not being the fix all that the dems claim it will be. At the same time I would agree to raise the debt ceiling if and only if they do away with baseline budgeting. No more automatic raises simply by not passing a budget. Obama has been very good at leaving things until they are at the crisis point. They need to get out ahead of him .

Mr Giles, Sir:
I respectfully submit things don’t work that way. This last election proves first of all that Mainlineing Socialist Media (MSM)control the country. Opponents to socialist government intrusion and expansion will be portrayed as obstructionists no matter what they do and if they capitulate they will still be denegrated. Plus those expanded programs will be that much harder to eliminate once in place and their disillusioned supporters no longer supporting them.

In short Mr.Giles that’s a dumb idea.

If you give the Liberals 4 years of what they want this country wont be worth living in, nor will there be anything left to salvage.

Regarding the legalization of drugs, why bother? The most destructive, addictive drug - alcohol - is already legal, so drink up until you can't stand up, beat your wife & kids, then go for a nice drive & run head on into oncoming traffic.

Doug Giles is a moron. I suggest he try his ideas out at home by giving his pre-school children the keys to the gun & liquor cabinet & see how that works out.

We aren’t as finished as you think. The GOP holds all 3 branches of government in 24 states. The democrats hold all 3 in 14. Our challenge is to regain state power over our own self determination.

“I am not sure if I agree with this.”

It may not matter as it might be coming anyway.

They came up with a favorable vote count, a large number of “brilliant”, “intellectual” Progressives went to the polls and voted, and the press has indoctrinated a large part of the population into being “caring”, “loving” Socialists who hate “the rich” and “greed”.

What strange times these are.

IMHO

I think it’s pretty smart. It’s the conservative Cloward-Piven: overload the system to the inevitable collapse that is coming, but do it in such a way that it mobilizes resistance. It it is allowed to trickle in, we will be the boiled frog.

The fact is in his first two years Obama got everything he wanted passed. There weren’t enough Pubbies to stop him. All his programs failed. The voters didn’t care. Going along with Obama is like helping someone cut your own throat.

A much better idea would be to fight like Hell to oppose any DemocRAT suggestion and regulation. Make the GOP controlled house a legislative tar pit.

"amicable separation"

I've thought about that possibility, but I'd wait until after 2016. If we can get trounced again, time to offer the country a split. But not only will the lack of producers kill the Socialist States of America. The vast majority of farmers are Republicans. If we split up farm acreage equally like we'll do everything else, who will operate the socialist farms? Virtually all Dem voters live in urban areas. It would highly amusing when after five years of lack of food, the SS of A asks us for food to feed their starving citizens.

I agree with the concept of Boehner acceding to obama on eliminating ALL the “Bush Tax Cuts”. No cherry picking “the rich”. There arent enough of them to tax to do what obama plans to do, and within 2 years there will be even less of them

the democrats have demonized Bush for 10 years, so lets get rid of it and go back to Clinton’s tax code since Clinton’s taxation is obviously what built a strong economy (sarc)

No more negotiating, give the sheeple and the unions what they voted for. King obama and his economic ideology.

It doesn’t matter if we resist or not, it is going to happen ANYWAY. Conservatives are growing old and will soon be dying in Obamacare hospices while the borders are wide open and they are running ads in Mexico explaining how to get Food Stamps. By 2016 the 47% will be the 50% and by 2020 they will be the 55%. It is inevitable, and if you go down fighting it you will still go down. They have a plan for the bitter clingers that resist the brave, new world.

The good thing about opening the borders is that immigrants used to come here for our standard of living. Once they trash the place it won’t be so attractive any more.

IMO, instead of giving them everything, try to find out why millions of repubs, sat this election out.

They can ask, and when refused they will simply take what they want. Then the farmers will do an Ellis Wyatt. IIRC this same scenario has been played out in real life in Zimbabwe. It's just paradise on Earth.

I ride a Harley. It’s a big powerful motorcycle. When it is moving forward under it’s own power it is a well balanced machine and a joy to ride. When it begins to slow and finally stops it becomes an unweildy beast that is hard to keep upright. And if it begins to fall over, it is so heavy that it’s impossible to stop. You either get out of the way or it will crush you. When it hits the ground, THEN you lift it back up, repair the damage, and start your ride again. Just sayin’ is all...
