Since we cannot compete with free money, e.g. Santa Clause, we should vote ‘present’ (like OBama did as a Senator) and let the Demcorats run things into the final ground.

Amusing strategy but: Republican "leaners" who do not pick up on this strategy might get ticked off at Republicans for not blocking certain legislation and not vote in the mid-term, thus giving dems huge gains

All dems need to do is play the Bush crashed the economy meme (I.E. its going to get worse before it gets better because of George "Herbert Hoover" Bush and irresponsible Republican policy)

“the entire economy and our standard of living would be destroyed forever.”

We have reached the tipping point. Over 51% of this nation now receives a check from the government. The Supreme Court, as Justice Scalia said last week, will not be in support of the Constitution any time soon. The national debt is now over $16 trillion. We cannot afford interest rates to rise so much as 1% on that debt. Voters looking for free money now outnumber those that make the money (Makers versus Takers). Our own Bonehead Boehner called it quits on repealing ObamaCare. I could go on, but those are enough.

Do you really think you’ve got a plan that can save the Republic? Didn’t think so.

Excellent analogy. The crash becomes inevitable but picking it back up and keep on going is still a possibility.

Part of me thinks this would be the right wrong thing to do and all the while be sure the GOP is Yelling strongly that the GOP compromised and the Dims had their way and that is what is causing the problems. Unfortunately it will cause lots and lots of pain among all of us.

And in regards to immigration, scr-w it and declare all human beings are US citizens. That way world wide taxes can be collected and oh forget it, no one wants to be a US citizen... do they?

Whiling away in Obamaville....

Your tagline says it all FRiend. They do outnumber us. Here, in this, our once our nation, and worldwide. Once it happens, and zer0 achieves his goal, the world will applaud with thunderous applause. One chance in three of turning this around maybe is high odds. One in ten?

That's still good odds, one in ten, if our Military is not disbanded? Maybe should put this in an email. Maybe shouldn't see the light of the board. Give me a sign Mod! Red (twice on preview) will make it go to email.

We’re headed in this direction anyway...the sooner we get there, the sooner people might figure out that the left’s way is the wrong way, and the sooner things can be put back on the right track.

I would say rather then voter yea the GOP vote the Obama way and abstain in deference to Obama and his voters. Have it all in the record that the GOP are abstaining in deference to giving the Obama way a chance. Do you want to see sheer panic! Obama and the Dims depend on the GOP to temper their misguided ideas By letting them have their own way there probably will be a civil war led by the reality awoken libs against those too steeped in delusion to awake to reality libs. I read that Obama identifies with Abraham Lincoln, I don’t see the parallel, except that Obama probably thinks that he is currently engaging in a civil war not realizing that battle of ideology is not the same as actual violent physical civil war which his lib policies could provoke amongst themselves as the libs are the ones who are violently inclined. If they can’t blame the GOP, they would have to blame each other.

Kabar posts a wealth of demographic data. Another angle is this one: the peak post-WWII birth year was 1957, which means peak Boomers reached 55 this year. In 20 more years, they will be 75 and too tired, ill or apathetic to fight any longer. However, @ 55, enough may have seen the light in order to effectively counter what is occurring.

If you accept the exit polls, Obama won the age groups 18-29 (60% to 37%) and 30-44 (52%-45%). They totaled 46% of the electorate. Romney won the age groups 45-64 (51%-47%) and the 65+ (56%-44%). They totaled 54% of the electorate.

It is obvious that the Reps are losing the lower age groups. Why? First, these groups are increasing their minority percentages due to immigration and higher birth rates among minorities compared to non-Hipanic whites. By 2019 half of the children 18 and under will be minorities as defined by the USG. Hence, each year that goes by adds to the Dem electorate and subtracts from the Rep electorate as non-Hispanic whites die and are not replaced in their ranks at the lower age groups.

Immigrants and minorities grow old as well, but their percentage of the total population is constantly increasing. By 2042 half of the country will be minorities as defined by the USG. We are also an aging population. By 2030 one in five residents of this country will be 65 or older--twice what it is now. Whether immigrants and minorities will become more Rep as they grow older is problematic since one's political affiliation is more akin to religion than anything else. You are literally born into it.

The U.S. adds one international migrant (net) every 36 seconds. Immigrants account for one in 8 U.S. residents, the highest level in more than 90 years. In 1970 it was one in 21; in 1980 it was one in 16; and in 1990 it was one in 13. In a decade, it will be one in 7, the highest it has been in our history. And by 2050, one in 5 residents of the U.S. will be foreign-born. It is not a stretch to say that these immigrants, once they become citizens, will vote Dem 2 to 1.

We do not have an Hispanic problem. We have an immigrant, minority, and younger voter problem. The changing demographics of this country have electoral consequences and have for decades except the Rep political elites and pundits have failed to recognize it. Some of it has to do with the huge influence the Chamber of Commerce has over the GOP. They have been pushing more guest workers, more immigrants, and amnesty to keep the flow of cheap exportable labor coming into this country to reduce wages and increase profits. In the process they have privatized the benefits and socialized the costs, which are killing our schools, healthcare, and law enforcement.

Now the solution appears to embrace amnesty as a way of getting more minority and immigrant votes. The exact opposite will happen as it will increase Dem voters and lose more of the GOP base who will be upset about such a move.

If you want to see a brief, chilling video about how the Dems and the SEIU feels about an amnesty and what it means, just watch and listen: At the America's Future Now! conference in Washington, DC on June 2, 2009, SEIU International Executive Vice President Eliseo Medina addressed attendees on why comprehensive immigration reform is an important issue for the progressive community to support, and how progressives can forge common ground on an immigration reform strategy.

Exactly have it in the record the present vote is in deference to those who think they know best meaning Obama and the dims.

I can’t believe how soft everyone on here is regarding this article...that’s the reason we always lose...people talk a good game but have no appetite for “real change”. Oh well, I suggest you stop complaining about the Republicans and just accept we will continue to lose

Hispanics of whatever stripe come from the Napoleonic Code legal system and dictatorships.

Asians: ditto, except for S. Korea and India. India, however, is pure caste.

People who want things from power bow to power. People who want power do what it takes to get it.

Few want freedom.

Or used against us. He needed the first 4 years to stack the deck and he has.

That younger age group has also had years of liberal indoctrination to accept homosexuals, “gay marriage”, and all kinds of liberal ideas. They see nothing wrong with Obama. In fact, part of that indoctrination has been continuous and relentless propaganda against their Republican parents. I have had countless 25-40 year olds basically tell me they rebel against their Christian/Republican/Conservative parents and are proud to do so. They are brainwashed into thinking this way.

That’s the sad part: They do have kids of their own. I once asked one guy that just had his second kid what he thought of leaving her with massive debt. He responded that he didn’t care as all that spending was helping him and others and that sometime later someone would help her the same way. His thought processes couldn’t handle accounting for that debt as though it would never get paid anyway.
