The certain oncoming American economic collapse, when and how?

Posted on 11/11/2012 5:19:18 AM PST by reaganator

Many of us know the continuation of Leftist economic policies are destined to cause the economic and fiscal collapse of the United States. The Republican controlled House of Representatives may be a temporary firewall. My question is what will be the order of events of the melt down? I expect with each piece of the failure the federal government to intervene even more causing more problems. It would be very helpful in making preparations to survive these times to have an idea of how and when the collapse will unfold. If you have also been speculating on this topic share your thoughts, or especially if you have any knowledge based insight please tell us what you know.

Just wait... as soon as dramatically higher inflation starts, this vile and ignorant Marxist POS will begin blaming the capitalist system and, more importantly, the “wealthy”. To his ignorant parasitic supporters, “wealthy” will be seen as anyone who has something they don’t - a nice car, a nice house, etc. As a result, anyone who has worked for these things (i.e. the productive citizens of the country paying to keep the parasites alive) are buying guns and preparing for the economic and societal upheaval. IMHO, its going to get really ugly before it gets any better...

Do you really think so? I don’t at all..... Obama will simply take the church assets without compensation for the “ good” of the country....by EO... He would do it in a blink of an eye....

Great point and likely accurate. If the Catholic church doesn't cave on the hospitals (and sorry, but I fully expect them to) then I'm sure this is Obama's backup plan.

I was curious to see whether anyone would demonstrate to me why I was wrong of the certainty of the American economic and fiscal collapse.

No one yet.

anyone?

It's certain and it was going to happen whether Romney or Obama was elected. No argument here.

When Obama and Reid are ready for it to happen.

The way they see it, they can't save America until they break it. As we have seen in this election, people will reach out for those promising to help them even if those people are the cause of the problem.

The left intends to provoke a mind-blowing world crisis that they can then lead the world out of into a brave new star trek world without greed or hunger.

They might even succeed, after a fashion. But even if they gain the power they want they will probably wind up with Hitler's Germany or Stalin's Russia rather than Star Trek.

Of course they may just plunge us all into a new dark age.

I am sorry to say that I expect a large portion of the Catholic Church to disobey an edict to close hospitals. Any that do close will be taken over by the obozo regime.

Just to add to your points.

As bad as it is, the Obama economy is performing at its peak level now - and we still have $1 Trillion deficits. Imagine for a second if the economy experiences some kind of shock?

Tax revenues will drop like a rock. Entitlement spending will increase even faster. The deficit will quickly go to $1.5 Trillion or higher.

Imagine what kind of money-printing will the FED need to do then?

I don’t understand the actual ownership of these hospitals but if the Vatican outright owns them and has the power to shut them down or sell them they will.

IMHO they will not comply. They might as well ask them to take down crosses in church. Ain’t going to happen.

Bathhouse Barry may seize them but that’s not the Catholic church complying.

Oh, I SO share in this sentiment. I have an 11 year old autistic son. Without us or his older brother and sister, he’d be lost in this insane cruel world. I’m 50 next year, and I want it to happen VERY SOON — so I can be here for him, to help him through whatever happens while I’m still relatively young and have my health. Bring it ON, commies!

Have you seen Camden, New Jersey recently? Detroit? They've already collapsed.

Exactly. Many think what is going to happen is going to be an event, it's a process.

That's why they call it quantitative easing. They are easing you into your new, impoverished life. It's funny, but human beings are quite adaptable.

obamas rich connected supporters will just buy those hospitols and run them under new management

better the Catholics stay open and let obama’s FEMA youth army and SEIU/TSA muggers haul them to jail for refusal to submit or pay Mammon his fines

there will be an increasing need for hospice care for people over 60 who have used up their govt allotted lifetime “fair share” of medical care, per obamacare calculations

The moment the Fed Reserve decides its time. If they do not purchase our T-Bills at auction, interest rates will skyrocket and we are gonzo.

And on the other hand, every unbacked dollar they emit (aka "print") destroys accumulated savings & capital investment, and thus the underlying economy. Or as Denninger calls it, an unrecoverable flat spin.

I think the real power lies with the colonels (and perhaps generals). How long will they let this treason continue?

I think you have hit the nail on the head. The Fed, if I am not mistaken, buys about 70% of the T-bills at auction. They must either stop, of flood the money supply to the breaking point. If they do stop, interst rates will soar, if they don’t, what? - hyperinflation? Watch the auctions.

Perhaps the two of you might be interested in the ongoing discussion regarding this very issue of age, demographics & timing:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2958188/posts?q=1&;page=51

Here’s an excerpt:

Kabar posts a wealth of demographic data. Another angle is this one: the peak post-WWII birth year was 1957, which means peak Boomers reached 55 this year. In 20 more years, they will be 75 and too tired, ill or apathetic to fight any longer. However, @ 55, enough may have seen the light in order to effectively counter what is occurring.

In many ways, the left may have, as is usually their case, over-reached before their goal was secure. Look how many people are considering the one sure-fire way to defeat their plans: let it collapse now instead of later.

The socialists are actually quite ingeniously evil. Conservatives have morals, principles & honor. They use these very traits against us in order to keep us hitched to the wagon pulling their load(s). When we are too old & tired, they simply dispose of us. After all, that’s what O-care & the death panels are all about.

But would happen if we ALL tossed the reins and then JUMPED into the wagon today? Consider the impact of 50-100m Americans not only going Galt in terms of tossing the reins, but then adding to the equation in terms of these same numbers overloading the welfare system.

"Exactly. Many think what is going to happen is going to be an event, it's a process."

Exactly correct and the fed being the only buyer of T-Bills tells you the process is well under way.

jj, i’m not sure i follow you but to clarify my position, i really do believe that the eurozone especially will end in a hyperinflation, with germany leading the way

i know this is a contrary view to the conventional wisdom that “...scarred by weimar, the germans fear inflation more than anything...”

my view is simple, they have done it twice in the last 100 years and they are going to do it again.

reaganator, i tried to sketch a scenario where some other major economy collapses, and the usa profits from the lesson and changes its ways... i know it is a stretch...
